Great hotel - outskirts of Funchal

Excellent hotel on the outskirts of Funchal with great view of the city from above. Daily shuttle to get you into town. Free parking available.

Our AC wasn't working as it should. It was just too hot in our room. Would be nice to have more times available for our shuttle bus since it's a bit far from city center. First shuttle bus it too late and later at night there is none. Parking is also limited. The staff is just wonderful.

Solid hotel with okay breakfast

God hotel with all amenities. Not their fault but the dogs barking around it are very loud. Breakfast is medium for a place this price and room is cold

Perfect stay. Paradise! Everything was perfect. Room was spacious. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. We stayed 5 nights, but on the 4th night we got upgraded to the higher floor with breath-taking view of Funchal Bay. Excellent breakfast. Relaxing spa. Free shuttle to/from Funchal city center. Special thank you for Tanya, Victor, shuttle driver and breakfast team. Will stay there again if we have a chance.

Super Hôtel !

Nous avons passé une semaine au Quinta Mirabela pour notre 12ème anniversaire de mariage et c’était formidable. L’hôtel nous a offert de belles surprises et attentions pour cet événement. L’hôtel est de taille raisonnable pour pouvoir recevoir un accueil de qualité et personnalisé et situé au calme, dans les hauteurs de la ville. La chambre avec balcon donne sur la piscine à bonne température et sur la ville. La vue de l’hôtel sur Funchal est magnifique, notamment grâce à plusieurs terrasses où l’on peut prendre un verre en journée ou le soir. Le meilleur point de l’ensemble fut le restaurant, où nous avons dîné tous les soirs en demi-pension (et pris le petit-déjeuner aussi) et qui était vraiment délicieux. Les produits sont de qualité et bien cuisinés, les vins sont proposés à un prix raisonnable et le service est impeccable (mention spéciale à Adriano et Emmanuel qui sont très gentils et professionnels). Un vrai 5 étoiles !

Tolles Hotel, sehr sauber und ordentlich. Nettes Personal und leckeres Essen. Toller Pool Bereich und auch der SPA Bereich ist recht schön nur leider nicht sehr groß, sodass man sich einen einstündigen Slot reservieren muss

Ein Hotel, welches fünf Sterne verdient. Klein, aber sehr fein, recht ruhig, super Service mit einem sehr freundlichen Personal. Ein kleiner Nachteil: Zu Fuß ist das Hotel nicht leicht zu erreichen, die Straße ist sehr steil. Daher empfiehlt sich ein Mietwagen, aber vom Stadtzentrum gibt es Taxis oder auch den gut ausgebauten öffentlichen Busverkehr.

10 dagen in dit hotel geweest. Het voelt niet als 5 sterren eerder tussen 3 en 4 sterren. Dagelijks hetzelfde ontbijt of een heel klein verschil in bv het fruit, er is geen koffie of theemachine in de kamer, ook niet in de ontbijtruimte. Er wordt bij binnenkomst in de ontbijtruimte gevraagd of je thee of koffie wil, deze kun je dus niet zelf bijvullen. De koffie is slap, wil je espresso dan moet je hier extra voor betalen. De spa is maar tot 19:00 uur open en alleen op verzoek/ reservering beschikbaar. De gym sluit al om 20:00 Er is nagenoeg niks in de buurt. de straten zijn te steil om op te lopen dus je moet de auto pakken of een taxi. Pluspunten zijn dat de kamers schoon zijn en het personeel vriendelijk is. Er was alle dagen genoeg parkeergelegenheid maar wij zijn dan ook in november hier geweest. Wel zagen wij best veel mieren in de ontbijtzaal en ook op de kamer. Het uitzicht is prachtig vanaf het balkon, en doordat er niks in de buurt van het hotel is is het ook rustig, als je rust zoekt en niet teveel entertainment/restaurants binnen handbereik wil hebben dan is dit een perfect hotel waar je je goed kan vermaken.

Wir waren mehr als zufrieden und können das Hotel nicht nur weiterempfehlen, wir raten gar dazu, dort abzusteigen! Es liegt oberhalb von Funchal und bietet einen wundervollen Ausblick auf die gesamte Stadt. Ein Mietwagen ist von Vorteil, auch wenn das Hotel 3x am Tag einen Shuttle ins Zentrum anbietet. Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hervorzuheben ist das reichhaltige und vielfältige Frühstück. Das Hotel punktet darüber hinaus mit seiner ruhigen Umgebung. Ein weiteres Highlight: direkt vorm Eingang fahren die Korbschlittenfahrer vorbei! Wir würden wiederkommen!!

Het is een goede bestemming als je niet te veel tijd in het hotel wil doorbrengen. De kamers zijn aan de kleine kant waardoor men elkaar snel in de weg staat. Ook is er niet veel ruimte om je spullen kwijt te raken. De rest is uitstekend. Het uitzicht is subliem maar je hebt er altijd vervoer nodig om naar het centrum te gaan. Een shuttle is er maar die rijd op vaste termijnen op werkdagen 1x naar beneden 1 x naar boven. Taxi is rond 13,- tot 15,- per rit.

Magnifique hôtel à taille humaine. Situé en hauteur, il bénéficie d'une vue incroyable sur Funchal. Le personnel est très professionnel et accueillant. Le restaurant est de grande qualité et d'un très bon rapport qualité-prix. C'est un endroit parfait pour se reposer loin des foules de touristes.

Hotellet snyder med værelserne ved ankomst

Det lader til at en del af hotellets forretningsmodel er at sælge værelser, som ikke er ledige. Havde læst en tidligere anmeldelse af hotellet, hvor værelset ikke var til rådighed ved ankomst og de var blevet tilbudt/ flyttet til et andet hotel. For vores vedkommende havde vi booket et superior værelse med balkon på Hotels.com flere måneder i forvejen og havde kommunikeret flere gange direkte med hotellet på telefon og mail vedr. Gallamiddag juleaften - og alligevel var der "kun" et standard værelse til rådighed, hvilket vi først fandt ud af ved selvsyn da vi kom op på værelset og ikke kunne finde balkonen - Derefter blev vi tilbudt et værelse på et andet hotel... Da vi havde booket med en discount på Hotels.com havde vi som det mindste forventet at få en tilsvarende rabat på standard værelset, men nej - vi kunne få refunderet forskellen på det vi havde betalt for vores superior værelse og listeprisen på et standardværelse... hvilket svarede til 5 Euro pr. dag ud af en samlet betaling på 890 euro for 7 overnatninger. Jamen tak for det... PS: Et tysk par, som ankom dagen efter os fortalte at de ved indtjekning fik at vide at de på trods af reservering og betaling forud, ikke kunne få et værelse da alt var optaget, men de kunne få et værelse på et andet hotel... De fastholdt dog deres krav og fik... et standardværelse uden udsigt og uden balkon.

La cosa che abbiamo apprezzato di più è stata la navetta che collegava l'hotel a funchal per il resto un po' una delusione:la colazione un po' misera le stanze non eccezionali , ci eravamo fidati delle recensioni ma siamo rimasti delusi sicuramente non una "Quinta " da 5 stelle
