Hotellet er beliggende på en stejl vej, hvis du har de mindske problemer med ben eller knæ, så er det ikke stedet for dig, eller god morgenmad og musik hver aften. Hotellet er af ældre dato.

Frühstücksbuffet war vielseitig und immer ausreichend vorhanden und echt lecker. Jeden Abend wechselnde live Musik in dem Barbereich am Pool von 20:00 h - 22:00 h. Danach ist es ruhig. Insgesamt für den Preis echt alles top.

Café du petit déjeuner en poudre. Le ménage est aléatoire. Notre torchon de vaisselle a disparu le 1er jour mais n'est jamais réapparu. Les sacs poubelles, c'est pareil. Pour déposer les bagages, c'est un calvaire sans nom car le préposé à l'ouverture du portail est régulièrement aux abonnés absents. La salle de sport est minuscule. L'insonorisation des chambres est minimaliste.Ne pas prendre le Mimosa si on n'est pas un minimum sportif vu qu'il est tout en haut de la montée. Sinon, le personnel à l'accueil est avenant et nous avons passé dans l'ensemble un bon séjour.

The rooms are okay - the hotel seems a little dated. The breakfast is not the best; eggs and beans are not warm, at 8.00. The quality of the buffet restaurant Europa, was not good at the price. However, the Gala dinner for Christmas was amazing!

Really enjoyed the hotel. Very close to many amenities and bus services.Room was very comfy, great views from balcony. Staff always upbeat. Do need to say that the Mimosa hotel is up a steep hill but you can get the use of a buggy. Breakfast was varied and very tasty. Great areas to relax iinsidecthe hotel and around the pool. Many evenings had entertainment around the pool area. If wanting to come to Madeira you need to know that there are many hills. Would recommend this hotel and would return. Cheers 😁😁

An excellent hotel.

I had a lovely time. The room was comfortable and well appointed. Cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that the outdoor pool needs to be heated as it is very cold.

Stayed for two nights. Chose this hotel as close to the start line of the Funchal Marathon. The main part of the town is a good 40 minute walk which is hilly in places. Be warned, if you're not in a car you have quite a steep walk to get to the hotel. You go down two lots of stairs to get to the buffet restaurant. Better signage is required as it is not clear from a distance where the restaurant is. You see the sign when you're on top of it. The restaurant itself was very chaotic lots of people getting in each other way. Though staggered evening meal slots still too many in there. Choice of food was quite good and varied however wasn't hot. Breakfast starts at 7.30 am though judging how many were already there when I arrived just after 7.30 am they probably allow guests in before then. I found one table free with no cutley so ended up setting my own table. There needs to be clear signs on where to obtain hot water for making tea and where the milk is located. The milk should be near both machines which are at both ends of the restaurant. When I found the milk I was disappointed that it did not taste fresh. Did not raise with the staff in the restaurant as lack of English understood. It was good that fresh fruit was available bananas, apples, melon and pineapple. Would of been nice to have a bowl of berries. The hotel room is part studio with fridge, microwave and cooker. It would of been helpful to have glasses which were not for wine and a tea towel would also useful.

Nice location, friendly staff, delicious food. People walking past my room early in the morning and late at night were rather noisy but this is not the fault of the hotel.
