Perfectly located overlooking a quiet square but only yards from shops, restaurants, gardens, promenade, busses and taxis. Lovely apartment, perfect for a couple. Functionally furnished and friendly accomodation manager who greeted us on the first day.

Fantastic holiday!

We stayed in the superior apartment which is on the 2nd floor of the building and can be accessed by stairs or a lift. The apartment was lovely, spacious and light. It looked down into a square where there were several cafes/bars. We didn't have to worry about any noise as the double glazing is excellent and once the windows are closed you really are unaware of what is going on outside. The location of the apartment is fantastic, right in the centre of the old part of Funchal with easy access to the cable cars, the port, and all parts of Funchal. Communication with the Heart of Funchal team was excellent, especially as this was a last minute booking. They organised a taxi pick up to and from the airport, sorted out a change of towels for us midweek and what was particularly great was the apartment was ready for us when we arrived at noon instead of 3pm. We had expected to just drop our bags off so it was even better that we could get settled in straight away, we felt as if we had an extra days holiday. We had read the bed was hard so that was a slight concern, it certainly felt hard when we sat on it but I have to say we never struggled to sleep whilst we were there. Couple of suggestions: have mugs instead of cups, put some handles on the wardrobes instead of the push openers as the doors are large and it can be a bit awkward to open them and have an airer so that towels have somewhere to dry. We intend to revisit Funchal and would definitly use this company again.

Wonderful apartment in prime location!

Tastefully decorated apartment with a well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom and lovely bed. Located in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants right on the doorstep. Highly recommended!

The Amenities would be 5 star except internet was a bit slow. When trying to work remotely, this was difficult and checking in for our flight home took an hour due to slow loading... Other then that, apartment was amazing!!

Great apartment

Clean place. Close to all the activities, places to eat (or drink), places to visit, shopping, etc. Be aware that there is no front desk and you need a key to get in the building. The property manager tried to communicate with us (many times) via Hotel.com prior to our arrival so that someone would be waiting for us, however Hotel.com did not deliver any of the communication. We ended up standing at the door without knowing what to do. Luckily, their neighbor contacted the property manager for us. We strongly recommend this apartment and contact the property via email prior to your arrival. Their email address can be obtained from Google search.

There were several areas that were not cleaned and were very dirty. For example the bathroom area: when the fan was on, large chunks of dirt fell on our heads repeatedly. The hairdryer was so dusty and dirty as well as the TV remote control with chunks of dried food on it. Some of the plates and cups were also dirty. The floor was not cleaned and there were dust and hair visible in some areas in between kitchen and living space

Excellent self catering accommodation

Excellent self catering accommodation in the centre of Funchal. Well organised with good amenities set in a central location overlooking one of the many squares.Everything worked very well including WiFi, Cable TV with Netflix, Cooker with built in microwave. Communication with hosts (Alexandra) was easy and apartment was super clean and bright and airy. A very comfortable place to stay with easy access to the sea front, restaurants, cafes, shops transport etc. A great Christmas break for us.

We stayed in the apartment for two nights at the end of summer holidays in Madeira-it was perfect for three of us as it was very spacious, clean and right in the centre of Funchal. Very beautiful apartment with great views over the square. Easy to walk everywhere and some good great restaurants nearby.

Fantastic apartment

The apartment was clean, modern, very light and centrally located in Funchal. Internet perfect. Kitchen part well equipped. Bathroom clean and modern. Spacious overall. I had a room (no. 1) on the first floor overlooking the "Praca Amarela". I'd love to come back!

Excellent accommodation overlooking a traffic free square. Comfortable, spacious, spotless and with lots of natural light. Perfect location and in walking distance of most places of interest to a tourist in the centre of Funchal. The Hearts of Funchal team are also very helpful. Highly recommended.

Perfect Apartment for Madeira vacation

so happy with this apartment and the ladies (especially Susana!) who run this holiday apartment business. The apt itself is exactly like the photos, extremely spacious, clean functional, and the best of all its excellent location. We stayed in apt #6 and direct view onto the square and hills behind. The apartment is one block away from waterfront, there are restaurants literally outside the building and around every corner. It's lively yet not noisy. Susana made our stay even more special when she came to our rescue on a Saturday morning at short notice when we had a carpark situation. We very much appreciated it! we will definitely return to stay at this apartment again if we come back to Madeira. The restaurant Cantinho dos amigos downstairs is our favorite too on the island so twiice the reason to come back!

Very nice and quite new with good amenities appartment in Central location with easy access. Despite the central location it was quiet so no disturbing traffic or other noise. Maybe only thing to mention is that the bed was a bit too hard. Mattress pad could be a solution for this. The personnel were very helpful and ease to communicate with. They were happy to help with any arrangements and suggestions what to do in Madeira. Happy to recommend!
