Next to the lake and has good views of Mt. Fuji! The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I very much enjoyed my stay here!

Amazing experience we stayed in the room w the mt Fuji room, hotel provides transportation from Kawaguchiko station and back on timed entries staff is super friendly and helpful we will come back :)

A nice traditional hotel with epic Mt Fuji views. We had a great stay. The hotel is pretty much cash only so make sure to bring enough cash.

This place is amazing! The staff is so kind and helpful. The room was incredible. We booked a room with a private open air onsen on Mt. Fuji view side and it was spacious, clean, and cozy. Staff helped us with our luggage upon arrival and showed us to our room with a tour of the room and instructions on how to use onsen. We also ate lunch and dinner here and the food was so tasty! You have a view of the lake on one side (with a walk across the street to a park on the lake) and a view of mt Fuji on the other. Highly recommend this hotel.

Wow! Our stay was only one night, but truly memorable. We were provided with kimonos for our stay. The traditional Japanese style room and private onsen with Mt Fuji view was unbelievable! The public baths were very nice, only wish they were open later in the morning because it closes at 9am. In the early morning we wanted to take a taxi to the famous pagoda, but no taxis were running so a member of the staff drove us there! Truly remarkable service.

We got a room with the Mt. Fuji view and private bath. We are very happy with our stay. The staffs are very polite and professional. Hotel also have free pick up and drop off service from the Kawaguchiko Station.

Beautiful views of Mt. Fuji but overall felt duped
We stayed for 2 nights in a Japanese style room with an open air bath facing Mt. Fuji. The room was bland and didn’t have one decoration. The hotel itself is very dated and smells of chemicals. The smell was especially overwhelming in the lobby. The open air bath that was attached to our room was amazing but we did have to sit on towels because the inside lining of the bath felt like sand paper. For the price we paid to stay there, the quality was absolutely lacking. The towels and amenities are cheap. They made a huge fuss about us asking for coffee. Communication was impossible even with google translate. The public baths were nice, they do face the lakeside though. The public baths were closed from 9am- 5pm and only open for a few hours in the early morning and the evening til midnight, and all the lights in the lobby get turned off. Almost feels like you’re being kicked out during the day. For the price I don’t recommend this hotel. Such a shame because it feels like there is such potential. There was a bus stop very close. There is no Uber in this town. Over priced taxis or a bus service that’s ends very early! Next time we will stay somewhere with better amenities and food options so we feel comfortable being at the hotel the whole time or will rent bikes to get us around the town.

Nice area and convenient for exploring. I like how they offered pick up from the station in the evening. We liked that there was a private onsen as we are m and f, so it was nice to be able to go together. The rooftop also had a really great view of Fuji in the morning. But it was very very cold, the hallways were freezing and wind and cold got into the room. We had to sleep in jackets and hats. We are used to the cold so usually this is not a bother to us, but it was beyond cold for a good night sleep. Most of the staff was kind, but the first man we met at the front desk made a very bad first impression. We arrived around noon so we wanted to leave our luggage while we explored. He would not let us sit in the lobby and even use the outlet before checkin. This is strange as we paid money to use the property. I understand there may be rules against this, but the man was very unwelcoming and sounded so panicked. Warning ! You are not allowed to leave your luggage after checkout, so after 10am you’re on your own to find a locker somewhere to store your stuff if you’d like to continue exploring the area. The proper is clean, but pretty run down with peeling walls and ripped carpets.

Traditional room with view was very nice and spacious. Had problems 2nd night as water dripping by the rooms outside bath from the window. Dinner and breakfast was awesome and staff overall were very friendly from pickup at bus station to hotel. Hotel is older and needs some renovations though. Overall we still had a good time here.

The view of Fuji from the private bath in the expensive suite is gorgeous (and feels amazing). This most expensive room fits 4 ppl (I was solo traveling so I had to pay the full room price for 2 ppl). The staff here are very kind and helpful. They do a shuttle service to and from the hotel so make sure to request them to pick you up from Kawaguchiko station. The dinner and breakfast is a Japanese Kaiseki with a lakeside view that is beautiful during the day. Things not clearly mentioned are the two extra public onsens they have, each one unique, and a 5th floor rooftop panoramic view.

An amazing stay at Lakeland Mizunosato. Loved their hotel. Fantastic view of Mount Fuji from their terrace. Loved their free public Onsen. We were lucky to have clear skies and had the joy of looking at Mount Fuji whilst enjoying the onsen. The half board was simply out the world.
