"This property is self check in. There is no front desk and staff are few and far between. They are largely out of sight. We did not receive our entry code information 24 hours ahead as promised. Multiple calls and intervention through Expedia finally got us the information needed. Once we were in the room, the hassle was well worth it. Beautiful, spacious, and lots of amenities. "I really enjoyed my stay here. It is a beautiful well kept onsen ryokan with amazing spacious rooms and facilities. The food was incredible. The staff was also incredible - I had a very tight schedule on my last day to get back to Tokyo and the staff helped me make a morning timeline and they really adhered to it on my behalf which was the most impressive part. My breakfast came a little early and they had the hotel car to take me to the train station all perfectly on time. I think there are some old reviews of this hotel on this website that are outdated. For example I saw reviews saying the staff can't speak English well which is now completely false, both the staff at the front desk and who brought meals to our room spoke very good English . I highly recommend this place and would stay here again."
