Fuengirola city centre stretches along the sea, centred around a long and attractive Paseo Marítimo, which is one of the longest promenades in Spain. It’s a lively and scenic place where you can stroll or cycle while enjoying beach views, cafés and bars. Central spots such as Plaza de la Constitución are especially popular for dining, having coffee and simply watching the world go by.
Just a short walk from the seafront, there is a smaller old town area with a traditional Andalusian atmosphere. Here you’ll find narrow streets, whitewashed buildings, charming little squares and local shops and eateries. It is generally quieter than the beach zone, making it ideal for relaxed walks and exploring on foot.
For shopping, Miramar Shopping Centre, located near the centre, is one of the largest malls on the Costa del Sol and offers a wide range of fashion stores, restaurants and entertainment. In addition, local street markets and artisan stalls appear in different parts of the centre at various times, adding to the town’s vibrant character.
Among the main attractions is Castillo Sohail, a historic Moorish castle overlooking Fuengirola Bay. It can be reached from the centre on foot or by a short ride and offers impressive views, as well as hosting concerts and events throughout the year. Another highlight is Bioparc Fuengirola, a modern eco-zoo designed with naturalistic habitats, which is particularly popular with families and is located close to the city core.

Calle Vizcaya is a residential street in central Fuengirola — easy to explore on foot.
