"Likely one of the best hidden gems in Germany. Exceptional staff and location resulted in a restful and rejuvenating stay. The meals were delicious and prepared with local fresh ingredients. The access to the Black Forest is literally steps away; be it hiking or biking. Few suggestions, 1) book a room on the lake side as the road is a bit loud at night and 2) bring a pillow as the ones provided are very German. 10/10 and will return!"

"Above average breakfast and friendly staff. Overall quiet Parking is a challenge, many areas in this non-smoking hotel have a strong smoking smell, overall dated. Flimsy shower curtain can transfer you bathroom into a swimming pool. In case you are wondering, no AC and open windows might provide a lot of information about your fellow hotel guests. To be fair, there was always some wellness program which I did not participate as well as special evening dinner events."

"Host was very helpful with where to go for sightseeing however there is no Ice machine and no ice bucket to chill a bottle of wine. Was giving Ice in a bowl. "I visit the property in 2019 and it was better maintained and breakfast was better. The hotel changed owners and it is not the same quality anymore. They forgot to clean our room, we had at 8.00 am breakfast and where not in the room the whole day, we got clean towels and the reception. Next time I look for another hotel, it is expensive and for that price I find something else. "
