This house is very cute and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable with hotel like sheets. It has a great big family room with large table for card games. I would stay here again. It is true that while close to the road, you don’t really hear the cars going by.
Things to note:
1) It is only a mile from the park. That said, the park sites (big trees) are about an hour away up 130 curves and 12 switchbacks. This is about the closest house you can get from the entrance.
2) I was not overly impressed with the local restaurants. You might plan to cook at the property.
Great home base for exploring the park. Lovely place. The switches were a bit of a mystery. Some turned on but what they controlled remained a mystery.
Property was spacious enough for the 5 of us. Location could not be any better. Need a few more eating utensils in the kitchen. Dishwasher could not be opened all the way which was a royal pain. Check in was a dream! Overall, I would recommend this house. (Lighting could be better. )

Only okay
The kitchen wasn't in good condition (for example, the dish washer was completely unattached from its fixture and looked like it could break any minute ). The property itself is right next to the main road into Sequoia so be prepared for noisy car traffic almost all day and night.

We, a group of 6 adults from 3 families, rented the property for 2 nights. We really like this property for the following reasons:
1) It is very close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park (about 1 mile).
2) It is easy to find. It is a single house on the side of the road and yet it is very quiet.
3) The place was cozy and warm, very clean and fairly new. The large living/dining room had nice couches, a TV, a DVD player and a number of DVD movies, and a large dining room table where we not only ate but used it to play games as well.
5) The kitchen was well equipped and stocked with the essential kitchen wares and items.
6) The beds and pillows in the rooms were very comfortable.
7) The bathrooms, likewise, were very clean as well and there was a good supply of towels in the hallway closet.
8) There was a patio table with a deck umbrella. We had breakfast on the patio, and it was very pleasant.
All in all, we all found the stay very pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable. It was a very hot afternoon when we arrived, yet we were surprised that the host had already turned on the air conditioner for us. It was such a good gesture and pleasant surprise. It was such a good stay that we all said we would recommend this place to our friends and relatives, and would no doubt rent it again if we come back in the future.

Great stay! Super comfortable and near the park entrance!
Few quirks to the place, as mentioned in other reviews, but SO seriously first world problems…the place is spacious, clean, and everyone was able to have their own space, which was great for the kids. Yes, you are on the main “highway” to Sequoia. No, the cars did not cause noise at all hours. No, you are not “right in the river”, but it is peaceful enough at night that you can hear it. If you want river access, the property owner does have other locations, but honestly, we were able to go less than two miles into the park and hit Indian Head trail and see all the river you could want. Also, the place has A/C, which was critical since we visited in a heat wave. Also, WiFi is STRONG, which is good because cell service isn’t (but that is everywhere in Three Rivers). Beds were very comfortable, and you can literally walk to the park entrance. We truly enjoyed our stay and the hosts were incredibly communicative and accommodating! Will definitely be back!
Very close to entrance to Sequoia. Great space and very nice furnishings. General store and food available within walking distance. Had an outstanding trip. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. It's very close to the Sequoia National Park entrance. Pretty easy to find. You can see and hear the river from the master room when you have the screen open. Very peaceful place. The only odd thing about this place is the dishwasher. It was a bit awkward since the door can't go down all the way because of the oven. Other than that we really enjoyed the homey feel of the place after spending the day hiking in Sequoia. Thank you for our stay!
