"We had a great stay! The location is excellent but far enough away that it is quiet. We loved the music in the restaurant attached to the hotel and Joshua, the bartender, was a joy. We will definitely be back!"

"While the Royal Sonesta is directly on Bourbon St, it feels like a world away once you walk in the doors. The reception area is spacious and well appointed, staff friendly and helpful, and the rooms comfortable and clean. My room was overlooking a side street and was one room away from bourbon st and while I did hear some noise at night it was not disruptive to sleep at all! The large rooftop patio and pool was an oasis on the hot afternoons. Highly recommend. "

"If you want to be in the French Quarter in walking distance of just about everything this is a great choice. In fact, just a two block walk to the streetcar stop on Canal Street. On the other hand, two blocks away from Bourbon Street and it's noise. Parking is expensive but oh so convenient and always available. Too bad our room was facing Iberville St on the 4th floor so we could hear street noise if it was loud."
