John's cabin

John’s cabin is located on an acre of land nestled in the trees with a beautiful pond in front. Doesn’t get much prettier than this setting. There is a wooded hiking trail if you want to go for a walk. It is 5 minutes from the historic town of French Lick where you will find lots of entertainment, and many restaurants. Should you bring a boat for an outing at Patoka Lake, boat parking is available right across the county road from the cabin.
The cabin has a queen bed in the loft area and a twin bed on the main floor. The loft area has stairs that are a little steep. The living room area has a pull out couch.
The cabin is professionally cleaned and sanitized between each stay with all used linens washed & dried. Shampoo, conditioner & body wash provided!

Wonderful getaway

Stayed for a couple nights to go to the Polar express train. This was a great location for us and the kids enjoyed exploring the woods. Billie was great and easy to communicate with. We will be staying again!

John’s cabin was a cute cabin. Just right for my husband grandson and nephew.

We were impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin. The location was private, yet minutes from French lick and Patoka Lake.

Amazing Stay!

The cabin is beautiful and you really feel the outdoor vibes. Communication from management was ASTOUNDING. She helped with any random thing we needed. Definitely would recommend staying!

Johns cabin

Very nice cabin and nice quiet location. Only thing the loft upstairs has steep stairs that may be hard for elderly to climb. Owner is very easy to reach and made the process very easy

Weekend Getaway

My wife and I decided to take a last minute trip to French Lick to get away for the weekend. We had a weekend long move the weekend before. We found the cabin charming and quiet and really enjoyed ourselves. We hope to do this again in the near future.

girls weekend

cabin was smaller than expected. open living area was great. Steep stairs and small bathroom were a challenge for this 88 year old. Was very peaceful and isolated and still close to French Lick. Had a very good time

This rustic cabin was perfect for our getaway. Close to attractions and hiking in French Lick yet in the quiet of the woods. Host responded quickly & resolved a small issue. As others have said, the upstairs loft has steep, high steps that would be difficult if you have mobility issues.

Cozy and quaint cabin

Our group had a quick one night stay at John’s cabin and it was exactly what we needed. We spent most of the night out by the fire pit enjoying the outdoors and conversation around the fire. Also, our host Billie was the absolute best! We reached out about a couple things and she immediately responded and even dropped by some items for us. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay went well. Thank you so much Billie!

We enjoyed our stay at John’s Cabin

We booked John’s Cabin because it was in the path of totality for the Great American Eclipse on April 8, 2024. The cabin is small but worked well for the two of us and it easily accommodated friends that visited for the day. The steps to the loft bedroom were challenging and Billie offered to make up the sofa bed so we could sleep on the main level. We enjoyed the quietness of the country setting and the view of the pond from the front porch. Billie is an excellent host and took a personal interest in making us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect get away

The house is as described. Very clean, cozy and bathroom was perfect. We did not use the loft with the queen bed. The railing was under 3 ft tall, if you dont like heights bring an air mattress. We brought our own Queen air mattress and it was perfect in the main room. Location was awesome for going to Patoka and being close to French lick without being in the downtown. Cute place.

My daughters and I stayed at the cabin for their 21st birthday weekend. The cabin was charming. They even hung a birthday banner for my girls. A all the way around. We plan on coming back next year.
