lovely breakfast solution in covid times
Really enjoyed my time here, solutions in these covid times regarding breakfast is even better than normal hotel breakfast.

Location, service and overall experience superb
Friendly staff, always available to help and always with a smile. Genuine people. I thought there was some sort of error when they said “free dinner” (as well as free breakfast and free tea and cake) but it wasn’t.

Scandic stay
It was one of the best hotels I stayed at in Norway and the price was excellent! The service was excellent and included breakfast which was amazing. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Nice stay, nice place
Really friendly front-desk staff, nice bar, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. I wish the shower tiles weren't so slippery and free parking would be nice, but otherwise a great night in a nice hotel.

Good choice for quick stay - downtown Fredrikstad
Great location near downtown Fredrikstad near restaurants and quite close to the train station. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great - lots of variety. Parts of hotel are a little run down in appearance and the lobby is quite small and dark but the room was clean and comfortable for a quick overnight stay.

Not worth the price
The hotel is situated on the other side of town from the historical area. You can feel the hard slats through the mattress in the bed. The street noise is very loud and the room smelled of lingering cigarette smoke. To get to odd numbered floors you have to take the elevator to an even numbered floor, walk down the hall, then walk down a flight of stairs. Overall I'd recommend going elsewhere.

Great Stay in Norway
We had a very comfortable stay at the Scandic City hotel, it was well placed within easy reach of the riverfront resturants and the staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was perfect and would set you up for the whole day if you took complete advantage of the all you can eat! Would stay here again if going back to Fredrikstad and would recommend.

Old fashioned city centre hotel
A little jaded but grand old style hotel providing first class services to guests. Marvellous buffet breakfast cater for all Europeans so include cold meats, great range of bread/croissants and hot full English Breakfast. Why go elsewhere

Det er et stort minus at når du ønsker kaffe, så skal dette koste penger i resepsjonen. Dagvakten var ikke spesielt serviceminden. Nattvakt var derimot helt topp. Lite dårlig rom, har tidligere vært mer heldig med rommet.
