We really love the inside of the cabin, it was very clean! The outside is quite deceptive. It felt like a shed on the outside.
It was a cute little place, great for one night.
It was a little further of a walk to all the shops on main Street, but decent if you just plan on going to Crossroads for dinner.
Booking was easy, communication was great.

Small cabin
Close to all the fun. No porch furniture like in pic. Cable TV never worked. Dead bugs laying around.
Not a terrible stay but just too small for us.

Nice but really small
Everything went nice and smooth through VRBO. Emailed instructions were nice and clear. Driving up to it I thought it was a little storage shed behind the house. There was another rental cabin behind ours. Which put us between the two. Parking was extremely small. Our Toyota pickup barely had room. The place was nice and clean inside but was actually smaller than most motel rooms.
The cabin is cute, but would not be comfortable for us, for more than a night or 2. All of the comments about the small shower were accurate. The pictures show 2 cute chairs in front of the cabin. Those have been replaced with an old picnic table, kind of disappointing. The mattress is extremely loud. It creaks when you sit on it, or try to get out of bed, making it difficult to sleep through the night when your partner moves or gets up in the middle of the night. The location is awesome and close to town, making it very convenient. The outside could use a little landscaping love. We will be back to the area, will just choose a different location to stay.

Constructive feedback
We read reviews before staying at this location. Precious things had been fixed. These are a few things we would like to see addressed. There were a few roaches we saw. The shower is SO small. Water gets in the floor. There needs to be a door or at least a bath mat. It was unexpectedly cold and there was no extra blankets and the bedding was thin. We only had 2 towels the whole time we were there. We would stay there again. It was a great price and a great location. As I said before, I say all these things because I feel like these issues will be addressed.

Just okay
The communication from property manager was non existent really. I sent a couple message with no response. Very small, but we knew that prior to arriving. The small fridge door didn’t shut properly which made it hard to keep things cold. The bottle of raid next to the fridge/microwave was a nice touch...gross! The shower curtain and liner really need to be replaced. Both smell terrible. The television remote on/off button and volume do not work. Everything had to be done manually.
I wouldn’t book this property again!

Weekend Getaway
The Cabin is a block off the Main Street and about a 10 minute walk to Shops and Restaurants. It’s smaller than most normal hotel rooms and price is equal to places twice the size. Touches that would make this place have the normal Fredericksburg feel would be a bottle of wine, corkscrew/bottle opener, or visitor information for those that may not know the area. The place was nice and quiet. There is another cabin right outside the front door facing you

Small but served our purpose this trip.
We were in Fredericksburg for the Classic car show…location was perfect.
Gave as a Christmas gift for my in-law. They enjoyed the closeness of the property to downtown. It was quiet and clean property. They enjoyed their stay.
Had a lovely business stay at this quaint cottage.

Ok no grest
Very clean! Pictures in ad looked nothing like property. Very misleading. Coffee pot leaked water everywhere. Inside cabin was fine other than coffee pot and no place to set laptop.

Durst cottage
When we drove up my wife was scared because it looked small. When we opened the door her eyes lit up and said " Oh this is so cute" It was a nice surprise and we loved the stay. Perfect for a couple. Enjoyed picnic table outside the cottage. Also appreciated that it did not feel as if we were in the city because it's tucked behind a house but we were actually very close to main st. Only downside was tiny shower but we made it work. We would recommend
We liked everything except the bathroom. A grown adult should be able to take shower without the curtain sticking to your back. Women should able to wash hair in shower. None which can happen in that shower. No place to place makeup bag or anything. Curtain rod isn't fasten to wall and would fall down when opening curtain which also has wrong rings on it and curtain won't open.
The cabin is about the size of a shed. The bedroom area was sufficient, but the bathroom was ridiculously small. The shower was smaller than one from an RV. I'm not a huge guy, but I could barely fit in it from shoulder to shoulder and the shower head was about to my nose/mouth area so I had to bend over to rinse my hair.
Overall, it was cute and would have been better if the bathroom area was a little bigger.
Cute one room cabin, our expectations were appropriately set. It is cute and clean and completely fine for a night. The bathroom / shower is incredibly tiny. A tall person must crouch to wash hair. Needs shelving /clothing storage options. A few small & thoughtful improvements would go a long way in making things a bit more functional. However, the listing did not mislead us and we knew to expect a small space. A/C was fabulous and the location is convenient.
