  • The Ava Haus Cabin is located just 2.2 miles west of downtown Fredericksburg on US Highway 290. The Cabin is approximately 400 ft. in size. One bedroom, with a King Size Bed, and a full bathroom with shower. The floor plan includes a living room, dining area, and full kitchen (open concept), Cable TV and WiFi. The Cabin has a covered front porch to enjoy some fresh air and relaxation.

    Why this property ? When looking for property to purchase, we immediately fell in love with the grounds and the comfortable feel of the property. Ava Haus represented the authentic heritage of what has been so lovingly preserved in the city of Fredericksburg. Also; the location is perfect!

    It is away from the center of town, yet close enough to be in downtown in less than 3 minutes. Unique Ava Haus allows guests to enjoy the benefits of the country and still be minutes from wineries, shopping, restaurants and the natural parks of the area. Guests can have a true feel for the history of the region when they stay in an authentic German homestead complete with the original well, thick limestone walls and even the original root cellar where the pioneers stayed during times of danger. At Ava Haus, we welcome your entire family to include children and pets.

    Each guesthouse has a TV with satellite, WI-FI internet, refrigerator always stocked with yogurt, juice, and water. The kitchenette provides coffee, tea, and a selection of snacks. Microwave per guesthouse. Guests are free to enjoy board games, BBQ grills, and explore the ample grounds.

One needs to see this property in-person as photos do not do it justice! Very quaint, rustic-feeling with all the amenities one needs. Patricia, our host, was very welcoming and communicative. I would not hesitate to recommend this property!

Great Cabin for a Weekend Away

Thanksgiving weekend

We stayed for Thanksgiving weekend and had a wonderful time. The location is away from the crowds but so close that getting into the main area of Fredericksburg is easy. The space is adorable and kitschy and exactly what we needed for our first Thanksgiving without our kids. The place was immaculate. Couldn’t be happier with the choice to stay here.

Proximity to the town was great. The cabin was perfectly adorned and ready for a couple. From the fresh, blueberry muffins on the table to a few goodies in the refrigerator for breakfast - all the details were thought out. We saw a couple of deer, including a buck come next to our cabin.
