Riverside Retreat with River Access and Stunning views!

If peace, solitude and splendid relaxation is what you yearn for, this is the place! Riverside Retreat is a gorgeous cabin located in Stonewall, TX an easy 14 mile drive from Fredericksburg. This stunning 2 bedroom 2.5 bath cabin is situated along the Pedernales River and has all the comforts of home; including a full kitchen, 3 TVs (50" in living room, 40" in bedrooms) satellite channels and WiFi. The downstairs master bedroom features a king size bed and en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom upstairs also has a King size bed, and en-suite bath with a tub/shower combo. The upstairs loft offers a comfortable futon that sleeps 2, (please note upstairs loft is only accessible through bedroom). Plenty of room for a group of up to 6! Riverside Retreat's remote location, access to the waterfront, comfortable accommodations along with proximity to conveniences provide a unique experience - a little piece of "Heaven on Earth!"
Please Note: Firewood is not provided, ​​​​​​​Spa is serviced on Tuesdays and Lawn is serviced on Wednesdays

You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will not be visible.

We absolutely loved staying here. The location is perfect, the area is super quiet and peaceful. The amenities of the home are awesome, and the king bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. LOOOOVVVEEED this place!!!

Relaxing at the pedernales river

Nice and quiet, plenty to do in Fredericksburg, but after the crowds, we got to come back and relax at a great place… would recommend it and will be going back.

Wonderful property in great location

Two couples spent a two nights at this great riverside property. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, plus there's another half bath external to the bedrooms. Lovely house

This house has such charm in addition to the water with fishing and kayaks. Close to great wineries and restaurants. We went for a wedding at Featherstone ranch and it was a quick 9 min drive.

A Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Riverside Retreat. During a very hectic season of our life, it was a gift to be able to relax and unwind both inside the cabin and out by the river. We spent an afternoon at Narrow Path Vineyards and it was absolutely divine!! We've already shared the cabin info with several friends and hope to be back ourselves one day.

Absolutely Amazing

Best way to spend my birthday get away. Close enough to Fredericksburg to enjoy all the wineries, good food and night life. Just far enough away to be blow away by the stunning property on the river. Great fishing, beautiful outdoors, and spectacular home! Every attention to detail is covered! We will make this a annual trip!

Great Place

Location and property was as described, wasn't able to get in river due to being too low and way too hot! The home is really well decorated and clean. The beds are a bit hard so if you need a softer bed bring a topper.So many places to visit, shop and try all kinds of wines, meads, whiskey, beers and the best foods and all within 15-20 mins. We had a awesome time!

Country Comfort

This was a beautiful home in a secluded and quiet location along the river. The interior was nicely appointed and maintained well. It had a lovely forested view. The completely screened in back porch made for comfortable seating that was not interrupted by mosquitos. We would definitely consider returning in the Fall or Spring when it will be not quite so hot as in August.

Friends Weekend

We are 2 couples in our late 50's that came for a weekend of fun and wine tasting. This is a gorgeous and relaxing location. It is wonderful to sit on the screened in porch and look out over the river. Very peaceful. The decorations in the house are great and we loved every minute. One note - you do need to bring a fire log and charcoal, but, they do sell both at the little grocery store about a half mile away.

Beautiful Retreat

We had an amazing time in this beautiful house on the river. All the amenities made it so relaxing. We enjoyed the river, wildlife, the screened porch, hot tub, & fire pit. The kitchen was stocked with cookware and dishes and made it great to have our own meals. Everything was very clean except for the dishes. There was food residue on many of the plates and silverware but we were provided with dish soap and sponges so we just washed things before use. We are hoping to visit again. Overall, a wonderful place.

25th wedding anniversary

Our stay was wonderful up until about an hour prior to checking out. Shannon with the management company had called and said that the owner had reported to them that we were a party of four and not two. Not sure if that is a real thing, but a 25th anniversary is not something that we celebrate with others. They could have checked the video cameras to confirm prior to making a phone call.

Excellent riverside retreat

The property is excellent, as listed. This was one of our best vacations. The property is superbly located on the banks of river Pedernales, just half a mile upstream of the road crossing/dam. This means that the water in the river was high enough to kayak! Thanks to the kayaks provided by the owner, our kids enjoyed the activity thoroughly. This was the most enjoyable aspect of this property. We did not try tubing since the water was cold. The fire pit, the hammock, and the vast open space made this stay magical. We also loved to observe the groups of turtles sunbathing and the deer family visiting the banks on the other side early in the morning. The Thai restaurant, the Venezuelan chocolatery, and the Italian creamery just a mile away were fantastic. it is a short drive from Fredericksburg (15 min), Enchanted Rock (35 mins). We enjoyed the Pacific War museum a lot. We plan to visit sometime soon. Next time, we would love to cover LBJ state park and museum, and Pedernales park. Finally, the house is very tastefully decorated. Beautiful house!

Beautiful restored cabin

The cabin is only 15 minutes from Fredericksburg and right on the Perdanales river. We caught catfish, bass and Perch. The cabin was ultra, comfortable and Beautiful. We will definitely stay there again.

Amazing

Wow, this place was PERFECT! I will definetely be back. The pictures do not give this home justice, the backyard was beautiful and so peaceful. It was an all girls trip and we received the door code an hour early. I honestly wish we had one more day to stay and soak up the outdoors some more. I will be bringing my fiance with me next time.

This cabin is the perfect location for relaxation next to the river! It was very cozy and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything you would need even a beautiful fresh flower arrangement! The screened in porch, fire pit and hot tub were a bonus! Kayaks and fishing poles were also provided.

The house was amazing and very well put together and the view from the back porch was very pretty with the river in the background. We loved how close it was to the town and all the wineries. Would highly recommend staying here.
