Come stay at the beautiful OsterHaus! This charming, sleek bungalow is centrally located, just a few minutes from historic downtown Fredericksburg. Amenities in the home include king beds, a private hot tub, full kitchen, fire-pit, Smart TV, washer/dryer exclusively for guest use, and more!

Nestled on a quiet street under large shade trees, this home offers the epitome of rest and relaxation. Inside, the minimalistic color palette, modern furniture, original architectural features, and thoughtful touches offer a luxurious vacation experience without sacrificing the comforts of home. The living room is amply sized with plenty of seating for the whole family. Just off the living room is the spacious full kitchen with the original scalloped trim old-Fredericksburg cabinetry and farmhouse sink. The open floor-plan of this main area creates the perfect place for family brunch or movie nights with friends!

Down the hall you will find two bedrooms, each with king beds. The shared full bath has a large vanity and walk-in shower. Also in the bathroom is a washer/dryer combo exclusively for guest use, lending the perfect convenience to the home.

Outside, the large backyard is populated with old-growth trees, providing privacy and shade. The wood deck is outfitted with comfortable seating and nearby is the private hot tub. There is an additional seating area around the wood burning fire-pit, making this home the perfect place to host a family get-together or wine weekend with the girls!

Whatever your plans, OsterHaus is the perfect "haus" away from home!

Please note, per enforced city ordinance:
- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis but this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, spiders, scorpions, beetles, mice, or flies.

We loved our stay!

The house was perfect for our girl's getaway. Super comfortable beds! Great location, easy to get to and nicely furnished. If we'd had nicer weather we'd have used the hot tub and firepit.

Cozy, convenient location

Came to Fredricksburg for a minimoon/birthday weekend getaway. This house was a beautiful, cozy, well kept home with the most convenient location near Main street. Lovely retreat for a couples weekend getaway or for a smaller family or 2 couples. Nice spacious backyard and the hot tub was the cherry on top! Would definitely stay here again when we revisit Fredrickburg!

Perfect Honeymoon Home

This was the perfect house for my husband and I on our honeymoon. It was a VERY quick drive to the main street and had a great amount of space for the two of us. The hot tub was a bit dirty so we did not end up using it but other than that, everything was great!

Oster Haus

This was a lovely home and the interior well taken care of. The beds and pillows were super comfy! I would suggest sponges or dish cloths to wash dishes with as there was none and a broom to sweep all the leaves off the back patio would have been really nice. Would definitely stay here again!

Christmas Get Away

Super cute & Cozy house! Conveniently located to main street. Hot tub and fire pit were nice amenities. We did have to buy sponges to clean our dishes, but they do not require any additional cleaning upon check out which was nice to see. 10/10 would stay again.

Quaint Getaway

Everything was advertised as is - clean, cute, perfect. We didnt get to use the hot tub, but that was only because it rained the whole weekend. But it was a lovely place to stay and we'll be back!

Girls getaway

The house was in a lovely neighborhood, clean and so comfortable. There was some construction type noises very early from a business at the end of the street that was noticeable but not overly disruptive. The checkout procedure was the easiest of any place I’ve stayed! Location was very close to downtown, all the shops and restaurants. We had amazing food every meal in town and a fun spa day!

Weekend Getaway

Overall, everything about this place was perfect! It was in an ideal spot which made it very easy to access all parts of Fredericksburg. The house was very clean, but the shower water had a very bad smell, like sewage. Also, due to the time of year we visited, the mosquitos were too bad for us to really enjoy being outside in the hot tub in the evenings/nights. Check-in/check-out process was very easy! Saw several other places under same management and would definitely book with absolute charm again!

Girls' trip

Cute house with beautiful backyard. Noise from corner business lessens the enjoyment of the yard. Internet connection isn't great. Watched a movie each night and there were a lot (5+ the first night and more the second, causing us to give up on the movie eventually) of disconnects which detracted from the experience considerably. Overall a good stay, just don't count on a good internet connection for movie nights after exploring during the day.

Cute little house in Fredericksburg

This was a very cute house and neighborhood. Nice outdoor area. Overall stay was okay. A few things that kept this from a 5 star rating: Had quite a few ants in back bedroom. The cable did not work, in spite of following the provided instructions. There is no step to get into hot tub. We had to climb onto patio chair to get in and out. Probably not the safest thing. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. A couple of suggestions: The kitchen trash is a little small. Fills up very quickly. Also a TV in the back bedroom would be a nice addition.

Wonderful Stay

Very Clean, perfect size for the 3 of us. Patio was great. I do recommend some lighting over by the hot tub. It was very dark in that area at night.

Cute bungalow!

Perfect size bungalow for my girls trip with my mom. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Main Street so pretty close to everything. The rooms were a great size and we really enjoyed hanging out on the patio and the hot tub. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Thanks for a great weekend!

Hot tub was wonderful, house was clean and well equipped, the king sized beds were comfortable.Only draw back was the equipment rental business that is located 2 door downs. They rent equipment very early on weekday mornings and the back up beepers on the equipment woke us up Friday morning. Everything else was wonderful!
