Great refurbished, updated retro motel cabins 1940's. Immaculate, rooms decorated nicely and large. Pool area small but accommodating. A little further from the main town area than I thought, so we needed to drive, but that was ok.

Loved our little cottage. Peaceful, convenient and comfortable. This was our second time to stay at Main Street resort. Only suggestion is to have a full length mirror somewhere in the room. Bathroom was very spacious and nice for two to get ready at the same time but mirrors were high and small over the double vanity. We will definitely book again.

Nice property, but could be better

Overall, it was a great location and a nice property. Unfortunately there were a few things that needed work. The hot tub Jets worked the first night we got there and but the control broke to turn on the Jets. We were there four more days and it was never fixed during our stay. The fireplace remote control did not work the floor was very dirty. After walking around with bare feet, the bottom of your feet were black.

Absolute charm is exactly what this little cottage was. The Social Goat was very clean and just steps from the pool and hot tub. Very convenient location and close to the downtown area. We will definitely return!

The rental was clean and cozy. A couple of lights need replacing and the bathroom door could use a curtain (privacy). The pool was freezing and the hot tub was an ice box. Otherwise, the location was awesome, the unit was comfortable and there was ample parking.

Cozy Country getaway

My husband and I stayed here for the first time, and our room was "The Social Goat". We loved it! We thought it was a great location considering it isn't very close to the city center but still manageable to talk there. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. I loved the covered porch, and it was very nice to have 2 chairs and a table.

Great Experience

The wife and I popped over to Fredericksburg for a few nights and the Social Goat was perfect for our needs. Clean room and walkable (10 minutes) to all of the action on main.
