Any family that wishes to stay in the Hill Country should look for the Lucky Star Ranch Guesthouse, a vacation home whose curb appeal is unmatched. Located on its own hill, you would be treated to such stunning views of the surrounding landscape from its front porch. Its bedrooms are the coziest you could ever find, like you've never left the confines of your own homes. It is also the perfect place to cook your favorite meats with the charcoal barbecue pit then kick back and relax while watching the 55" Smart TV. To top it off, you would be personally welcomed and taken care of by the owners who live on-site.

​​​​​​​Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC) Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible.

Best of Texas Hill Country

Pictures do not do this beautiful home justice. The location is stunning. The home is warm, welcoming and comfortable inside and out. We Loved the daily sightings og the Longhorns, Deer, and the owners dogs. Close enough to town to enjoy it, and far enough away to enjoy the peaceful setting.

We knew the moment we drove up the road to the house, it was special! The sweet dog greeting us was the icing upon the cake. While it was cold and cloudy, each morning we watched the sunrise across the expanse- amazing. thank you ! It was a special place and I am deeply grateful we took a chance and stayed there!!

Charming ranch house with great vistas.

We had such a wonderful stay in The Lucky Star ranch guesthouse. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, it well accommodated our group in town for the total solar eclipse. The property provided really nice views from which to enjoy the Texas Hill country. It was only about 10 minutes drive into town and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Fredericksburg. A super peaceful and enjoyable location. The accommodation was nicely appointed with all of the creature comforts and touches that clearly showed that every little detail was thought about. The rooms were large with one king and two queen beds. It was super comfortable and we wished we could have stayed longer.

We Loved Our Stay At Lucky Ranch Guesthouse!!

We had a wonderful stay at Lucky Star Ranch Guesthouse! It was so nice to get up in the morning and enjoy our coffee on the porch to Longhorns and Deer!! The view was spectacular! We saw cardinals and a woodpecker. It was nice and quiet, but not too far from downtown Fredericksburgh. Our hosts were attentive and available. I highly recommend staying here!

Amazing views, wonderful amenities

The Lucky Star Ranch Guesthouse was the perfect location for our girls retreat/getaway. The view from the top of our hill was spectacular and we were greeted each morning and evening by longhorn cattle and grazing deer. Truly a peaceable kingdom! Each bedroom was well equipped and every thoughtful detail made sure that our stay was comfortable and inviting. The banana walnut muffins and bottle of wine were a great touch! It was unexpectedly cold during our stay so we were not able to take advantage of the outdoor patio (darn!), but the thoughtfully placed throws in the living room were used often and appreciated. We couldn't have selected a better place to spend time away and enjoy the incredible beauty of the Texas Hill Country. Can't wait to plan our next visit!

We had a great time traveling around Fredericksburg sampling wines and enjoying the area. The Lucky Star was so relaxing to start and end the days at. This house is very cozy and well stocked. The owners added nice personal touches - banana bread, wine, chocolates by the beds! The views were beautiful and the location was excellent. It felt remote, but was only about 15 minutes from town. Loved all of the bird feeders - really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching th birds.Great stay!

This was the perfect getaway for us. The home was spotless, comfortable, and cozy. The attention to detail was unmatched. I especially loved the homemade banana walnut bread, the nightlights throughout the home, the non-generic toiletries, and the wonderful, welcoming pups each morning on the porch. We were 3 couples staying at Lucky Star Ranch guest house and we couldn’t have ask for a better stay. Plenty of wildlife to view, very clean house and very comfortable. Just a short drive into town and the views from the front porch were amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful location. Close enough to Fredricksburg, but not too close. The natural bearuty of the place is amazing. My wife loved all the bird feeders and the small herd of longhorn cattle that roamed across the fence. It was clean, quiet, and had plenty of room.

Gotta Love the View

This was a very clean well managed property. The view from the porch was amazing. Getting up for the sunrise is a must. Feeding deer and watching the longhorns walk by 10 yards away is awesome. All regular amenities provided and the owners go above and beyond with the little extra touches. The stay was wonderful!
