Nice change of pace

We traveled to Fredericksburg from the cold March weather of upstate New York. Creekside was very convenient to the downtown area and wineries, yet set back in a private area. Accommodations were nice for 2 couples with an extra room upstairs if needed for kids.

My bestie and I stayed here four nights during our Girls trip. The property is very well kept and beautiful. We especially enjoyed sitting in the large back porch and taking in the scenery, wildlife and good conversation.The owner was super kind and helpful, meeting us upon arrival and walking us through the property.You can definitely tell there has been a lot of love lived in this house… so very nice and comfortable.

Rocking on the deck

The property was everything we wanted it to be. A beautiful back deck that had rockers and tables to sit at. Most of our meals were outside where we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside. The house had a homey feeling the minute you walked in. We met our host Mr. Day and he was great. We will definitely be staying here again.

Home Away From Home

Terrific property! Super neat and clean (in fact, the home feels new), the floor plan is nicely laid out and it had everything we wanted or needed in a home away from home. Although some of the traffic could be heard during peak hours, it was peaceful in the evenings. For us flower lovers, there are walking paths behind the home -- and the home itself has a lovely deck (covered and uncovered), complete with rocking chairs and a table/chair set. For those cooler evenings, the property has a very nice fire pit with ample seating not far from the house. A great place for building memories!

Guesthouse with Owners Living on Site

This actual house was fine, but we would not return. For starters, the rental is the guesthouse with the owners living about 50 yards away and they feel highly empowered to just pop over whenever they feel like it, without wearing masks, and banging on the door repeatedly until answered. We initially thought they were just being nice and friendly, but it turns out they were being nosey. My wife and I had originally rented the house just the two of us for New Years and a few days before decided to bring a second couple along who had their plans fall through; there are two bedrooms as well as an upstairs with twin beds so we didn't think it would be an issue having 4 people in the house. Well, the owners made sure to go out of their way to report that we had additional people staying so we received an unexpected $240 fee subsequent to leaving. Additionally, Fredericksburg is a relatively small town so during on a cold rainy day during COVID, there isnt much to do. This is probably on us for not verifying, but the house does not have wifi or tv so something to keep in mind for when the weather is poor. Finally, if you do decide to bring additional people such that you will need to use the beds upstairs, please be aware that the temperature up there is about 15-20 warmer than the rest of the house so sleeping upstairs would probably be relatively unpleasant.
