Rubies and Black Walnuts
Our stay was very accommodating for our needs. We were very close to the ruby mines which was the main reason for us to be in the area. Not only did we find rubies, but we also were allowed to gather black walnuts that had fallen. So, we REALLY enjoyed our stay! The only disappointment was the lack of accessibility to the river from the property.

Relaxing Porch Time
My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. We really enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and set up well. We loved the front deck and having access to the Little Tennessee River. Occasionally, we did hear a good bit of traffic noise during certain times of the day. But, overall, it is a great get-a-way cabin for a couple or small family.

Loved the location, very quiet and peaceful. Loved sitting on the porch most of all. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Loved being here!!! Needs more light on the porch we spent a lot of time out there playing cards and was a little hard to see. The only drawback we had. Will probably book again for next year.

Wild Bill's
Had a great time fishing, floating, and kayaking down the river. Water access was difficult from the cabin, but Kevin, the full time resident next door allowed us to use their stairs and we were able to put our kayak in and take it out there. The view of the river from the large covered deck was beautiful and was the perfect start and end to each day. We enjoyed morning coffee and ate several meals out there. All in all, Wild Bill's cabin was great, and we look forward to returning!

Great last minute getaway.
Sufficient,clean comfortable cabin. Bed in Master was very high. One in spare room very low. Take your pick. Not secluded but neighbors are very nice. Grandaughter enjoyed the mountains for the first time. Went tubeing on Deep Creek. Was nice to escape the heat of Florida for 5 days. Weather was 60s in the morn.and 60s at night. In July!

A very wonderful stay. Was so peaceful and relaxing, just what we were looking for. Loved the view from the porch, could sit out and just watch the river flow. Will definitely be going back. The only issue we remotely had and we had figured out the best way for us, but was getting in and out of the driveway to the cabins. Still giving everything a 5 star either way and would definitely recommend to other people. ❤️

A nice stay
The cabin is nice. The Jacuzzi was a great place to just relax. I was a bit put off by the extreme "religious" quotes, pictures and decorations used in the cabin. As a person who has had very bad experiences with religion, I didnt appreciate all of that. The bed in the master bedroom is really too high and we ended up sleeping in the second bedroom. We made the most of our vacation, though, and will definitely book through VRBO again.

We believe that Wild Bills is tastefully and comfortably decorated as you can see from our many 5 star guest reviews. Not aware of extreme quotes. Relaxation dream cabin!
We absolutely loved this cabin. The location was beautiful, restful and a great local for fishinermen. The view was incredible and even the rain on the roof one night was so relaxing. The cabin was immaculate and very well stocked. The welcome book was a big help. They think of all your need. Belinda was super helpful!!I!! It was so great we had to add a night and she got back to me super prompt. So thankful for this vacation home for family together time.

Great stay to admire river.
Wild Bill's was perfect for our family of 4. Check in was easy, cabin was stocked and clean. Location is excellent and out of town, but only a 10 min drive to Ingles or Walmart. Our plan was to be lazy by the river for the week. Tie up the floats and relax. Safe access to the river at our cabin was mostly impossible with 2 under 9y and would be difficult for adults without a ladder. The other cabins had better access points, but were posted private. We decided to drive up to Tellico river access, 2 miles up the mountain and had the whole place to ourselves! We were able to tie off the floats to a tree, swim and relax on the beachy area. This is what I would recommend if getting in the river is your goal. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed the deck and spacious yard to play Cornhole and soccer. Enjoyed the stay, the river was nice the bank needs better up keep with the weeds. The comforter had a white stain on it. But over all it was a great trip I would recommend to friends and family. Oh and the neighbors are super sweet.

Wonderful Mini Vacation
We absolutely loved this house!!! It was centrally located to all the gem mines in the area, which was part of the reason for us staying here. The house was perfect for the four of us and being next to the river was refreshing. The porch was our favorite spot to be. We ate dinner out there several nights and just enjoyed the views. We would like to go back when it is warmer so we can enjoy some of the water activities in the area.

Wild Bill's River Escape
Hubby and I were sad to leave this wonderful location. The peace and quiet, the large covered porch and the Little Tennessee River flowing by were exactly what we needed to disconnect from the cold and snow up north. The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us and it was equipped with all the necessities anyone would need for a vacation stay. We truly hope to return here again, perhaps in this fall.

Amazing River Views
Amazing cabin with relaxing and peaceful scenery. We enjoyed fishing from the yard just steps from the cabin, sitting on the porch and enjoying the views and sitting by the fire pit listening to the sounds of the river. Much needed and wonderful vacation.

Could be Cleaner and functional.
The walnuts were the worst! All night and day, walnuts were falling on the roof making you feel as if in a war zone. We got very little rest the entire week. The ceiling fan was dangerously out of balance and couldn't be used. Toaster, Toaster oven, and grill were filthy! No dishwasher either and was told fully equipped. Awful week.

Oh My, I am so sorry to hear about these issues that hindered your stay. I wish that you would have called us at the office and we would have come down and handled every single one of them immediately! It is very important to us and we do all we can to keep our cabins pristine and want everyone of our guests to have a wonderful time. Just for facts there is a welcome book in the cabin and a notice on fridge with our office number to call us asap with any issues and we will make it right. Again, we are so sorry that you didn't call and we didn't have the pleasure of making your stay great! No dish washer on listing and the walnut tree is baron and being removed. Just checked the toaster/ oven and grill and found that they are quite clean but have some discoloration from age. We will replace them but our cleaning crew is very thorough and cleanliness is our signature as you can see with all the 5 star reviews.

Great cabin. Highly recommended.
Our stay at the cabin was absolutely amazing. The view of the river from the covered porch was great. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Defiantly hope to go back someday.

Early Fall Getaway
Wild Bills is a quiet, peaceful place with a huge wonderful porch overlooking the Little Tennessee River. We enjoyed the eclectic and interesting decor. Very clean. Loved the vaulted wood ceilings, It was comfortable and roomy for a two-bedroom place. The gas range was nice and we enjoyed grilling out using the small propane grill on the porch. Could use a few more metal grilling tools like a spatula and turning tongs. The location is fifteen minutes from town but that can also be a plus. We liked having wifi and Smart TV--guests just need to be aware that the Roku connection is impacted by the number of devices signed into the wifi. Also, be aware that black walnuts might randomly hit the roof or porch steps during the night. The first time I heard one hit the porch steps when half asleep, I thought a bear could be visiting haha! Those will soon be all off the tree, though, especially with this week's rain. The event that we actually chose the location to be near got cancelled , but we enjoyed spending time with family and sightseeing around Highlands. Overall, I highly recommend Wild Bills!

Peaceful relaxing cabin retreat
The cabin was cute, well decorated and homey. Wifi worked. Had everything you need minus cell service (we all 4 have Verizon and no one had signal at all). Nice porch to sit and listen to the river or just enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. The master bedroom has a nice jet jacuzzi that works! Huge plus. The master bed was high though so be prepared if ur like me and only 5'3 cause u will need a stool or chair to climb up (no joke). But it's very comfortable. Master has a TV. Other room doesn't. We did enjoy our stay . But wanted to mention some of the little things so future guests know what to expect. Also the listing didn't mention that we had to haul our own trash off, take the linnins off the bed and wash them ourselves, which makes me wonder why we paid a cleaning fee if we did the cleaning ourselves. We had a family emergency and had lo leave a day early on Sunday at 8am so hauling trash in a rental car when the dump is closed was frustrating. But overall a good stay.

Hi Brittany, Sorry that you had to leave early. Thank you for the review and we are so glad that you had a good stay .I just want to clarify a couple of things you had mentioned. Our what to do upon departure is the same as what you would have to do anywhere you stay. Strip the beds and start a wash. Unfortunately, there is no trash pick up in this area so we ask if on the way out you could toss the trash in the dumpster but, if that is not possible we will take care of it for you. Also, there is a second TV in the master bedroom. As far as cell service goes, we have Verizon and we do get service at the cabin. It helps to switch on wifi calling. This is the mountains and every cell carrier is different. The Master bed is a little higher, but there is a step stool besides the bed that might have helped you. I think that if you had connected with me we could have made your stay even better. Again thanks for staying with us and we hope that you can come back again. Belinda

Great homebase
My boy die we’re in town for a few days of fishing and it was a great homebase. The beds were very comfortable the kitchen was pretty well-stocked. Only complaint is it took me 20 minutes to find the Wi-Fi password in the middle of the guestbook. there is no cell service, so couldn’t call for help. Once I found the password everything was smooth sailing.

Hi John ,We are so glad that you enjoyed Wild Bills cabin. Thanks for the info on the WIFI password. We had it posted on the Modem but will be sure to make it more easily accessible. We have Verizon cell service and can make calls at the cabin. It all depends on which carrier you have for cell service here in the mountains. Please come back again sometime. Belinda

Thank you Laura for the great review! I am glad that you enjoyed fishing. You never know what will show up. We have reports of bass, blue gill and catfish. Even a trout now and then. Cooking them up over the grill and eating on the porch, overlooking the river is a wonderful experience. SO glad that you got to enjoy it!

Comfortable, quiet cabin
Cabin has seriously comfortable bed and kitchen has most things you need to prepare a nice meal. Quiet, cozy place for a couple or small family.

Wonderful
Great spot if you are craving some peace and quiet. Loved sitting in back porch watching the river. Kitchen well equipped for most meal preparation needs.
