Spring break
We had a great time exploring Franklin and surrounding areas. We enjoyed all the hiking trails and waterfalls nearby. The house was close to both shopping and waterfalls and had everything we needed. Excellent long weekend!

5 stars does not do justice...
I would give the Whitfield Hideaway an 11 out of 5 stars!!! It was exactly what was explained and more. The beds were sooooo comfortable and it was a home away from home. Perfect for family outings!!!

Such a gem!!
This rental was absolutely amazing. Quiet neighborhood and felt very secluded. The owners have thought of everything! The house was extremely cozy and the beds were sooo comfortable. We will defiantly be back!!

The stay was wonderful. The homemade jam that was left was delicious. So delicious that we bought up all the jam that was left for sale. Enjoyed watching the deer in the mornings. Overall a really great place. We plan on booking again when we go to visit our daughter at WCU.

Excellent place at an excellent price point!
I was thoroughly impressed with the ease of check-in. As a group of 6 the set up of the bedrooms was optimal. The common space was plentiful and worked perfectly for 6 people to eat and lounge around. No issues with cleanliness. We were overall very pleased with our stay and would stay again!

Perfect home away from home! Everything you would ever need in a vacation rental has been thought of by the owners. Home is exactly as described & so comfy. Loved everything about it! Secluded but not far away from stores & restaurants. Hope to make it back again soon for a perfect getaway!

Dream mountain property with owners who are rare gems!
Gorgeous home that is the perfect balance of seclusion and privacy and just a few minutes drive to town. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the mornings and evenings. The porch was a big hit with my young adults. The shower in master is absolutely heavenly! Beds were comfy and the little touches around the house made it feel homey instead of like a typical vacation rental home. We were able to get Walmart, pizza and door dash deliveries to the house as well so that was a big plus for us as we were on a time constraint. Jeannie went above and beyond for us and was so personable and a joy to talk with! I wish all vacation rental owners were like her!!!

We love this beautiful Gem in Franklin
This is our 2nd year one back to this wonderful place to stay in Franklin. We love this place!!! This place is perfect, it has everything you need and want and close to a lot of stores and everything you want to do in the mountains! Jeannie is amazing and if you need her she is very responsive. Also her products are amazing. I’m obsessed with her homemade soaps and creams. Helped me with allergies from products I used to use. Try them you’ll love them too!!! It was such a wonderful trip! I miss it already, and we just left 8 hours ago and I want to go back.

Absolutely awesome
I travel a lot and try to book rental homes whenever possible instead of motels for comfort and security reasons. This is the nicest home I've ever had the opportunity to stay at. Immaculate and extremely comfortable, there were many thoughtful touches that made our stay above and beyond the norm. I can't even think of a thing to suggest in the way of improvement. Thank you for everything and for working with us, I certainly intend to return. And btw, the jam is wonderful!

Whitfield Getaway
We enjoyed a pleasant 3-night stay at the Whitfield getaway. The accommodations had all we needed for our visit. Beautifully secluded but just minutes from shopping, groceries and the attractions of downtown Franklin. Couldn't have asked for a better property.

Really enjoyed our time. The place was clean, had everything a kitchen would need for Thanksgiving for a large gathering, easy access off the main road, decorated for the holiday and owner even had stockings with our names in them. And great communication and everything was labeled!!!

Everything was amazing!
Personal touches, comfortable beds, basic pantry items, good layout - just for starters. We have stayed at dozens of cabins in NC over the years and by far this one was the most homey and welcoming. 10/10 recommend and we hope we have a reason to make it back to the area to stay again!

The house was beautiful and it looks just like the pictures showing on the listing we had a great time. The owners were very helpful and quick with communication. We would definitely come back and stay again. The homemade jam that was left for us as a welcoming gift was absolutely delicious.

Perfect for what we needed!
We needed to stay in Franklin just a couple of nights but really didn't want to stay in a motel. This was perfect. So clean and cute. Not far out of town. Had everything we needed there and more. Even though it wasn't cool enough to use the gas fire table on the porch it was a very nice touch. We loved sitting on the porch evenings and early mornings watching the deer.

Immaculate place with lots of attention to detail
We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated and super clean property. You can tell the owners really care about what they do from the personalized card and home made jam, home made soap, ice packs and many notes posted everywhere inside the house to make your stay easier. The kitchen is well stocked with every appliances you need. The beds are very comfortable. Jeannie was easy to communicate with and answered all of my questions very quickly.

This place is amazing and wonderful!
This is the perfect getaway for family or friends. Beds were comfortable perfect night sleep. House was clean and fully stocked with everything you could think of or need. And what you didn't think of they did. Directions for everything made it easy. House is tucked away in the woods making it a perfect spot yet still close to town. We saw deer everyday from the porch. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again would give it a million stars . These hosts went above and beyond to make the stay cozy. Thank you for your letting us share your home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. It's different from your normal vacation home in that it's very woodsy and primitive antiques decorate the walls. It kind of has a bear theme that my grandkids loved!!! The furniture is very comfortable as is the bed, bedding and the bathrooms are awesome. The kitchen is well equipped. If there is a negative, because I'm a cook, is two small things. A box grater and a wisk. Maybe a couple more sharp knives. My daughter said a mop and maybe a couple cleaning supplies. You need them with young children and for daily wipe downs. We love, love, love the place and would stay there again without hesitation.

Family mountain getaway
Such a cozy mountain home! Decorations were so interesting in every nook. Hostess provided all the information you could possibly need. Jeanne accommodated our family so very comfortably. The porch with the rocking chairs and fire pit are outstanding. They even provided puzzles and games for the rainy day. We would love to return and recommend Whitfield Hideaway to others!

The property was adorable on the inside - cozy and comfortable. The place was impeccably clean - cleanest place I've ever stayed in. The owners left notes on how to work everything and were very responsive when I had a question. I loved it and would absolutely stay there again!

Quiet and Clean with all essentials
We’ve stayed in two different properties owned by this host and both are extremely clean and have well equipped kitchens and other amenities. We especially enjoyed the gas fire pit and rocking chairs this time. Jeannie has everything labeled with clear instructions and the carrot cake jam welcome gift is definitely a plus. My only fear is that her properties become so popular I can’t get one!! Definitely a go-to host in Franklin.

This cabin is beautifully remodeled. Everything feels fresh & new. It has an amazing kitchen, large bedrooms & gorgeous bathrooms. Your hosts Jeannie & Ross leave you generous directions on how everything operates within the home & on the porch. (genius on the towel identification idea). We were greeted with a lovely welcome on the dining table. The deck was absolutely perfect for watching the sunset with a glass of wine after a long day out & about. After a 4 State tour this place was voted our absolute favorite. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully we will be back soon. Thank you again Ross & Jeannie for such an amazing experience in your home.
