Steps To The Beach & 2 Blocks To Downtown Frankfort - Sleeps 10-11

“The Beachcomber" (Main house) has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and sleeps 10-11. Deluxe Master Suite has a King bed, a Full-size sleeper couch, an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower with 8 luxurious showerheads, and whirlpool tub, and an 8 x 10 walk-in closet (large enough for a pack n' play! ), and a private balcony! The second bedroom has a Queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with a tub and shower. The "Bunk Room" has 1 Twin XL bunk bed and 1 Twin XL over a Queen futon bed with access to a shared bathroom and shower.

Large updated gourmet kitchen with double ovens, granite countertops and spacious side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. Microwave, 4 slice toaster, 6-quart crockpot, new cookware, bakeware and cutlery set. The garage also has a kitchen and bathroom, for group gatherings!

It's a 5-minute walk to the beach, to enjoy the water, sand & sunsets, or to downtown Frankfort for the movie theater, ice cream parlors, upscale restaurants, and shopping. Take a 15-minute drive to the "Cherry Bowl" drive-in theater with the kids and don't forget to stop at the "Cherry Hut" restaurant for their delicious cherry pie!

Wonderful stay steps away from the beach!

This rental is a fantastic place to stay with your family and friends! The inside and outside sitting space is fantastic and can accommodate lots of people! The house was great and so was the host. Highly recommend!

The house is lovely & is the most well-stocked of any vacation house I've ever stayed in, & I've stayed in a lot! Modern, clean, lovely decor & enough space that we enjoy each other. We loved the patio & ate dinner out there every night followed by a fire in the firepit.

We had a great trip to Frankfort! The weather was not the best, but the place was great and was close to everything. We had plenty of room for everyone and the house was fully stocked. Jerry was wonderful to work with. We will definitely stay here again if we get a chance to come back!

This was our second year at this property.

We love that the beach is only a short walk down the street. Beautiful sunsets! You can also walk to town to shop, eat, or get ice cream in the evenings. The owners have done a good job at supplying the home with everything you need in the kitchen as well as for the beach. We look forward to many more stays at the "Beachcomber".

Another great stay

Our family spent the last two weeks of June back in Frankfort-and just like last year everything was perfect. We love the location of this house to the beach and to Main Street. We park our cars and walk everywhere. The house is comfortable and clean, the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful, and the owners have thought of everything for us in advance. Our happy place

This was our fourth year at the Beachcomber. We love the house and the location. The kitchen is completely stocked with anything you might need to cook a great meal. Our family of eight easily fits at the dining room table. It’s the perfect place for playing cards and board games. We also enjoy making s’mores on the fire pit on the patio. The owners have always been a pleasure to work with. We hope to continue this tradition for many years to come!

Fourth year in a row!

Our family has enjoyed the last two weeks of June at this beautiful property (and excellent location) for four years now. The owners have the house stocked with games for the grandkids, a fully stocked kitchen for those of us who like to cook, an outdoor grill and furniture to allow dining out on the patio, and beach furniture and umbrellas light enough to carry the short distance to the beach. We love Frankfort, our grandkids now love Frankfort, and they consider this lovely vacation home their own home for the time we spend here. Thank you to the owners Jerry and Kathy for all you’ve done to create a perfect vacation home.

Winter Ski Break at the Beachcomber

We rented the Beachcomber for a few days over the holiday break to ski at Crystal Mountain. We decided to stay off-site this year as my kids are old enough to drive the short 17 miles to the resort. The property was immaculate and very well appointed, cozy, well-stocked and in a great location near the downtown and Lake Michigan beach. This is by far the nicest VRBO property we have rented to date. Jerry was very accommodating and was ready to answer any questions with a quick text or call. I highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful, well appointed house in the perfect location

This house provided the perfect homebase for a late spring week in Frankfort. Everything in this house is well appointed, up-to-date, and thoughtfully arranged. The kitchen is especialy nice, and preparing and sharing many meals for our group of five adults and a two year old was a highlight of the trip. The house provides plenty of space for both socializing and spending some time alone, and we used the balcony and two porches a lot for reading and relaxing. The location - a very short walk from both the beach and the town - was perfect for us, allowing everyone to make their own schedule for walks, beach play, shopping, and exercise. Frankfort remains one of Lake Michigan's loveliest towns, and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Perfect Every Summer!

Our family has been staying in this beautiful house for several years now…maybe six or seven? We have lost count! The house is equipped with everything we need and it’s so comfortable and clean. It feels like home, but better….with Lake Michigan just down the street. The owners are very helpful with a notebook full of tips about Frankfort and the surrounding area. We love the location-we can walk to the beach in less than five minutes. We also really enjoy being able to walk to restaurants and shops, the library, the bookstore…it’s all accessible from this house. While we are here it feels like home, but better! Catherine and Jerry, thank you so much for another wonderful time in Frankfort, Michigan.

We had a wonderful time.

Oct 13 - 16th 2023 We had a wonderful time staying in Frankfort during Fall Fest 2023. Enjoyed the parade, especially the Mutt March, the farmers market, the pumpkin drop and especially the Scottville Clown Bane while enjoying some St. Ambrose and Stormcloud in the entertainment tent. We lucked out on the weather. Enjoyed all the shops and some excellent food from A. Papano's, Dinghy's, Roadhouse & Old Town. Of course had to fill our Stormcloud Growler and pick up a t-shirt or two. Took the teenagers out to see Sleeping Bear Dunes. You know you've done ok when you can impress 3 16 year old boys. The house and amenities are wonderful and we had some cozy nights chatting and catching up. Thank you for sharing with us. Hopefully this will be the first of many Beachcomber & Birdhouse stays.
