Located at what this owner lovingly call the "intersection of moose and maple syrup," our charming retreat blends small-town tranquility, comfortable amenities with instant access to the White Mountains' legendary outdoor adventures.

Whether you are here to tackle the ski slopes, hike the high peaks, enjoy quality family time, or settle in for a reading weekend or extended work-from-home stay, you'll be surrounded by nature!



We work hard to ensure Big Red is your perfect home away from home. From the private front porch lined with Adirondack chairs to the picnic table in the rear yard, we strive to make your stay comfortable!

BEDROOM 2: Spacious and bright with two comfortable Queen-sized beds, a TV, and ample closet space.

THE BATHROOM: A large, spotlessly clean space featuring a shower/tub combo with excellent water pressure and temperatures. Fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and plenty of soft, thirsty towels.

THOUGHTFUL EXTRAS

* FAMILY & PET FRIENDLY: Child's booster dining seat and splat mat; pet bowls, towels, and waste bags for your furry friends.

*GEAR HELP: Dedicated ski/boot storage in the winter; portable "camping" chairs for Echo Lake in the summer. Shovel and snow-removal supplies too!

* PARKING: Two designated, plowed, off-street parking spaces right out front.

*THE YARD: Meticulously maintained grass, you can enjoy both front and backyard time with our frisbees or your toys. In summer, a barbecue!

Big Red #2 is the middle unit of a historic 1890s farmhouse and a third apartmetn. For guests, this means quiet, permanent residents (including a cohost) live next door, ensuring our guests a peaceful and worry-free stay.

Looking for Nordic skiing or snowshoeing? We've got tons of trails nearby- including in-town and in Franconia Notch; along with various groomed spots. 

If you must get off our comfy couch, there's spas, indoor pickleball and golf courts, museums, movies and theater conveniently close.
