Front cement covered porch with picnic table available for party guests and outside eating, nice parking garage and driveway. Wildlife aglore, eagles, loons, purple Martin's, geese and many different types of animals. Excellent fishing with pike, bass,blue gills, and crappie. Open year around for your family to visit beautiful fall colors and great hunting and fishing. Winter months you can enjoy great ice fishing and snowmobiling. Early spring mushrooms 🍄and turkey hunting. Close to state land for all your favorite outdoor activities. Kayaks,bikes, yard games and boat available for your family enjoyment. Great Family Vacation Spot
I stayed at the property with my wife and two kids (3 & 9mo). Nate was a great host and the property was filled with activities for the young ones. The beach was great, and we loved using the kayaks and the firepit. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing spot.

Peaceful getaway
Loved the stay! So many great activities on the property like bikes, kayaks, games, a bonfire pit, binoculars for bird watching, a grill and all the supplies to whip up a good meal. The area is close to many stores and ludington is a nice small town with lots to see as well. We felt welcome and very relaxed.

Short Man’s Cottage
The short man’s cottage at Tallman Lake was just as advertised; clean, comfortable, quiet, and plenty of room to spread out for our party of 10. This was a quick trip to the area but would definitely book with Nate & Brenda again.

Extended weekend family getaway
Nate and Brenda were very friendly and welcoming. The location was very beautiful and peaceful. Their cottage home was very warm and inviting also kid friendly which was very nice seeing as we have three young grandsons. Nice fire pit for having a little bonfire and s’mores with the family. Also sand and water for our grandsons to play in. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

First time visitors to Michigan
While in Michigan, we wanted to experience a quiet lakeside cabin. The family had a great time kayaking on the lake and fishing from the boat, as an added bonus got to watch a bald eagle fly around us! Enjoyed the deck for morning coffee, was even able to watch a crane catch his breakfast! Was a great trip, thanks for sharing a part of Michigan with us.

Family at the lake
Our grandchildren and our adult kids had a great time in the water with kayaks and float tube. Son and grandsons caught some nice fish. The cottage was comfortable and well supplied. The owners thought of everything to make our stay nice

Short family getaway
We found this property when searching for a place to fit 7 of us to attend a near by family reunion in Ludington. It was a quick/easy 20 min drive to Ludington area. The house had everything that we needed. The kids enjoyed having access to a lake across the street with use of boats and kayaks. The area was nice and quiet. The beds were comfy for everyone and there was plenty of space for us to spread out. We would definitely book again in the future.

Everything went very smoothly with owner. They promptly responded when I messaged him. House had every thing we needed. Enjoyed mornings sipping coffee on the porch watching the wildlife.
