We could not even stay. The lawn was over grown, have the house did not have power. Bugs and vermen all over the house. Missing drawers Fidge not working. VBRO should be ashamed to have a property like this on their site. STAY AWAY !!

Disappointing experience at Christmas

A few days prior to our arrival, the host contacted us to say the property was not available but he had a comparable property for us to stay. We agreed, but ended up leaving early because we were so disappointed. The house appeared to be still in process of renovation. The ceiling fan in the living room did not work, the drain plugs were missing in the master bath, the kitchen sink dripped, there was hair in the sheets in both smaller bedrooms, there was not much hot water in the front bathroom, many of the window blinds had broken slats, there were holes in the back of closet door. The house had minimal amenities: no soap or paper towels in the kitchen. And a fly swatter would have been welcome. The house was older and worn, but the biggest issue for me was inability to connect with the host. I feel deceived and lied to. The host had agreed to a credit for a portion of our payment but has yet to make that payment. The host has not responded to any of my emails, texts or calls. I would have preferred to discuss my concerns with this directly but it has been almost 2 weeks of complete silence.
