Location! Location! Location! This historic neighborhood is walkable to several restaurants on Magnolia St and less than 2 miles to downtown Fort Worth which is accessible via the city bus system. This location is also ideal for access to the major hospitals (Cook's Children, JPS, Baylor Scott, etc). Prime location for TCU visits as well.

Or stay in and enjoy the brand new renovated interior and the 3 outdoor areas to relax (covered front porch & 2 backyard patios for dining, grilling, fire pit, and hammocks). End your evenings in front of the fireplace after a long soak in the clawfoot tub.

Amazing house

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this house. The house was very clean and was better than the pictures. The location was great and was close to all the attractions at the Will Rogers Center! We will definitely book this house again.

Charming and convenient

This house was the perfect blend of charming and historic on the outside and completely modern the inside. It was easy to walk to some delicious restaurants on Magnolia Avenue, and the property manager, Kathleen, was quick to help when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We enjoyed our time and would love to stay here again!

A wonderful stay

We had the best time at the Lilac house. The attention to detail was over the top. Kathleen was a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with and very thoughtful in the decor and amenities in this precious home. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this little gem.

2025 Livestock Show

My granddaughter & I were in Fort Worth for livestock show (4-H). The Lilac Cottage was only a short distance to the fair grounds . We thoroughly enjoyed this home for our 4 night stay. The area was wonderful with all kinds of things to do. We both woke up rested & ready to start our busy days. Pre christmas celebration

We enjoyed a long weekend at Lilac House. Our daughter and her family came over for a nice breakfast before we went off to explore the zoo, arboretum and parks. Our favorite meal out was bbq at Heim on Magnolia. Lilac House is in a great neighborhood for walking. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. The front porch and patio out back were great spots to sit and enjoy the sunshine. We hope to stay again on our next trip to Ft Worth!

So cute

We loved our stay at this cute house. Our favorite part was the outdoor sitting areas and the hammocks! The house is so beautifully decorated, clean and really homey feeling. The only downside was the sleeping arrangements, the sofa bed listed in the description details is actually a blow up bed. We assumed it was a sofa fold out bed. Other than that it was a great stay and great host.

The house is so beautiful and cozy! The decor in the house was something out of a magazine! The bathrooms and bedrooms were so spacious and beautiful! The backyard was perfect, and we took full advantage of the hammocks; they were so comfortable! Kathleen was very responsive to each text if I had a question. Very kind lady! Lovely home! Great spot for our weekend stay. The back room was nice and dark for the baby, the front room could use some black out curtains. Especially since there are porch lights that the owner has requested remain on throughout the night. Beds were soft, something to keep in mind if if you prefer/need a firm mattress. The pillows could use an upgrade.

Everything about this property is great!My only suggestion for the property owner is to light up the house number. We arrived later at night and couldn’t see it because it was dark and was not 100% sure we had the right house. During the daytime you can see it but it’s in a location that isn’t obvious and can get obstructed by the tree in front.

The Lilac House is a sweet, cozy, restored bungalow in the Near Southside area - perfect location for strolling the historic neighborhood streets and Magnolia Avenue, and close driving distance to TCU and all things Fort Worth. The home is warmly decorated and has two bedrooms with queen beds, and two bathrooms with showers. The kitchen is well appointed, and there's plenty of space in the living room to spread out and chillax. We loved hanging out on the front porch in the sling chairs, and there is a huge backyard with more seating and a fire pit. The only detail that needs to be updated in the listing is that the sofa in the living room does not have a queen size pull-out (which we were counting on), but it is very comfortable and reclines. There is a blow-up mattress in the closet.Check-in was smooth and early as the owner so kindly accommodated our flight schedule. We had a lovely stay, and so will you!Go Frogs!
