Island Sands is a hidden gem located on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This small 27-unit condominium offers a peaceful retreat with an uncrowded beach. Listen to the waves roll in and feel the powder white sand under your feet as you walk down to the beach, just steps from your back door. The community swimming pool provides a relaxing place to sunbath and take a dip. Close to all local attractions, entertainment, and restaurants... Island Sands is the perfect beach location.

This 1 bedroom/1.5 bathroom unit includes: A fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, a breakfast bar with seating for six, a main living area with a sleeper sofa for extra guests, and a private balcony with gulf views. A master bedroom with a king size bed, smart TV, and half bathroom. A full bathroom with tub/shower combination in the hallway. Washer and dryer in unit.

Parking for larger vehicles: Extended cab vehicles, large passenger trucks, or other large vehicles that extend beyond the marked boundary lines of the parking spot must be parked in the overflow lot to the north of the complex.

This is not a pet- friendly property.
The owner has health issues that will not allow pets of any kind.
This property is exempt from ADA service animal guidelines as it is a private residence. Guests will be asked to depart the unit immediately if any animals are reported on the premises.

We go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable: Plenty of pillows on each bed along with extra sheets and blankets if needed. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher soap, dish liquid, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner. All-purpose cleaner.

We have a pontoon boat that is rented exclusively to our guests. The boat needs to be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. The boat launches out of The Fort Walton Beach Yacht Basin.

Excellent property

My husband and I had a fabulous time in this rental. The location is perfect- steps from the beach but in a less crowded area. The rental was clean and comfortable. It was great to have washing machine and dryer in the unit. The kitchen was well stocked. We sat out in the balcony most mornings with our coffee and loved having chair service on the beach. Owners were super responsive and accommodating. . We will be back.

Love the place. The beach is over crowded though with all the high rises all up and down the beach now! Beach not as crowded just a few years ago when we first started staying at Island sands 303!

It Don't Get Any Better

This was the first time at this place. We have stayed at numerous beach front locations and this, by far, has been the nicest. We were so amazed at how clean and well kept it was and can't think of anything that needs to change. We have already spread the news of this place and recommend a stay here. We will definitely come back.

Beach escape!

Perfect spot! A beautifully appointed condo. Bed was very comfortable. Great view. Loved cooking in the kitchen and seeing the water. Everything we needed. They provided all the extras. Just perfect place. Very quiet complex. Only drawback was the pool on the parking lot side. Never used it, but looked nice. Would highly recommend. Close to all activities and restaurants.

Great Get Away! :)

My husband and I were looking for a last minute beach get away and found the Island Sands condo complex on VRBO. It was everything we were looking for: clean, comfortable and most importantly....a great beach view! We loved that this is a smaller condo complex and they offer a chair and umbrella service for their guests. All we had to was pick a spot on the beach and let the relaxing begin. Very easy check-in and check-out process which was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend Island Sands #303 and we will definitely be back! :)

Location, location, location

The condo is right on the beach and the view is amazing. It is exactly as it appears from the pictures provided. We gave it five stars, but would suggest that you put blackout curtains in the bedroom as the outside lights shine through the blinds. Also, our daughter visited for several nights and slept on the pull out couch and the mattress was very uncomfortable. Thank you for a great week!

Very Clean with Beautiful views of the Gulf!

We loved our stay! Very clean condo. Beautiful view of the beach , saw dolphins every morning from our balcony. Very comfortable bed AND pillows. We were notified on the way the washer had broke and they had it replaced within a few days. They picked up and laundered our items until the new one was installed.(thank you for that) We planned a shopping and site seeing day so we never saw the installers. We highly recommend this condo and would love to return!

Overall great condo

My husband and I love the location of this condo and the fact that its only 3 stories. The beach is very easy to access. The amenities here are excellent! Plenty of bath towels and wash cloths and although I brought my own beach towels it was very thoughtful for the owner to have beach towels for use. We eat out for our meals but the kitchen is well stocked for doing your own cooking. The ONLY reason my overall rating was 4 stars is because the bed was terribly uncomfortable. I dont know if it is because there was no box spring underneath the mattress or that the mattress is cheap. Also the fitted sheet did not properly fit and would not stay on the mattress.

Perfect view off the water and beach.

The rain cancelled our deep sea fishing trip but the condo was amazing. The view was perfect and the check in was easy. The communication was great to. Would definitely love to stay at Island Sands again. Oh and being on the third floor was perfect.
