What a comfortable and well appointed home!

In numerous decades of renting vacation homes, this home stands out as one of the best. Not only was it beautifully decorated it was the thoughtful appointments such as beach towels, high end cookware and a well stocked spice cabinet that put it over the top! Our group was mostly retired but I can certainly recommend this home to families with children. Well done Stu & Cathy!

Wonderful Home

This is a great home in a quiet neighborhood. It has absolutely everything you could need… and want! We enjoyed the bikes, pool, hot tub and fishing poles. It was comfortable for a week of remote work followed by a weekend with our teenagers. We look forward to returning soon!

Private and quiet getaway

Well appointed for all your vacation needs. Plenty of privacy with the mature landscaping and the lake/neighborhood was very quiet.The house was very clean with really comfortable beds, plenty of pool towels, throw blankets and pillows.Garage was well stocked with everything you need for the pool or beach along with game tables.Stu and Cathy were very easy to contact for questions100% recommended

Christmas Vacation

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse! It was just what we all needed! The kids had more than enough to do and loved fishing! Swimming of course was a favorite too! We will definitely be back!!!

Yearly Florida Trip . . .

Cape Lake House was the nicest, cleanest, and most well-stocked home we've stayed in over the years. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. There were 7 of us and the 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom layout was perfect for us. We have NO negative comments whatsoever. Stu and Cathy were quick to reply if we had questions. We will definitely be staying at Cape Lake House again or maybe we'll check out one of their other locations. I wish we were still there! :)

The Lake House

Great Place To Stay

Great location and who doesn’t like to walk out the back door and cast a rod to catch some fish. House is well kept, updated and very spacious. The communication with Stu was great. This was our second time staying and we will definitely be back.

Delightful location and property!!!!

We had not been to the Fort Myers area before so enjoyed the central location of the Cape Lake House. And it was a wonderful property to both lounge and relax, as well as a base for sightseeing or catching a baseball game! And we like to cook so totally appreciated the well equipped kitchen. We couldn't have asked for more!!

Gorgeous waterfront home!

The house is beautifully decorated, perfectly cleaned, and provides an amazing view! We loved the paddelboard and kayaks! The pool area was where we stayed most of the day, and when we got hot, we stayed in the lovely screened in porch. Everyone slept well in the comfortable rooms which is key for a relaxing vacation.I can't say enough about this house!! I'm so grateful we had the chance to stay there!!

2024 Family trip

The house was beautiful and easily accommodated our large family. The house had all nice new appliances and plenty of utensils for cooking and eating for a large group. The pool is beautiful and the outdoor patio is amazing. Homeowner was very easy to connect with!

Perfect place to stay!

This was the perfect place for our family! We had 8 adults and two kids and plenty of room. Everything was very clean and organized. Plenty of towels, even beach towels. Our crew loved the Wii. The pool was perfect, we spent a lot of time there! Stu was very easy to work with and responded quickly! Overall, I would recommend this place your family!

Fun family vacation

Our original family vacation to the Lake House was canceled due to the pandemic. We are so happy we chose the Lake House for our return trip. The whole family from kids to grandparents enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful. There were many extras to enjoy but the pool was the highlight. Close enough to enjoy some Spring Training games in Fort Myers too. Thanks Stu & Cathy for a memorable stay!

Family get away:

The property was perfect for us. We had 6 adults and 8 kids age 4-13. We had just enough sleeping accommodations. The pool and hot tub were constantly used and worked perfectly. The dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer were constantly used and worked perfectly.The location of the property worked very well. We were able to visit the Ft. Meyers beach area a couple times and then spent the others days hanging out at our own pool. The adults loved the triple patio doors. It was our gathering place for coffee in the morning but also allowed us to keep and easy eye on the kids when they were in the pool.We would highly recommend this location for any family get together.

Wonderful!

This home is a gem! From its game garage to the master-bath hair dryer diffuser…it has every amenity. We loved its cozy feel, charming decor, and beautiful landscaping. Stu could not be more accommodating, and the neighborhood ducks kept us throughly entertained. We had a ball soaking up the sun and relaxing in the pool. Thank you for a much needed week away!

My favorite VRBO by far!

While many VRBO’s are beautiful, no other compares to Stu and Cathy’s properties. The owners take very good care to the details of what travelers want. There were so many options for entertainment. I really liked that they have the pool and hot tub set to a warm temperature all year round with no extra charges for electricity etc. the whole family enjoyed our stay. Quite honestly, I’d love to go just by myself to lounge and read from their library of books. My only regret is that I didn’t book longer! I will definitely seek properties listed by Stu and Cathy from now on.

Everything you need.

Definitely recommend. Lots of toys and things to do, plenty of space, didn’t eat out the whole time we were there - kitchen/grill had everything we need, quiet neighborhood, clean house, nice TV, pretty view, everything recently updated. We enjoyed our getaway!! Great grocery store nearby - Farmer Joes. Close to Ft Myers, Pine Island, Sanibel…lots of recovery still happening near coast. Only small thing is pool was hot due to summer heat and local ducks swim in pool often (nothing owners can do but good to know)

Very clean

The house was very clean, the layout worked well for our 2 families that stayed together. We loved the pool and water with fishing and canoeing/paddle boarding equipment. The pool needed some minor repairs during our stay, the repair men and owner were professional, communicative, and worked quickly. The appliances could use updating, but the kitchen was fully stocked and worked well enough. The owner communicated very well, maybe a little too much. But that’s better than not enough. My family would stay here again.

Inviting Beach-Themed Getaway

The Cape Lake House is a beautifully appointed house on a quiet street with a soothing lake view. The house provided a very quiet and peaceful retreat to relax and enjoy our time in Cape Coral.The house has a heated pool and hot tub, with a partially covered patio that is great for enjoying the lake view while eating or enjoying a beverage at any time of the day or evening. While we visited as a couple, it would also be very good for a family with the pool, ping pong table, kayaks and many other amenities for entertainment and fun. The house has 3 charming bedrooms and bathrooms, well-situated for quiet and privacy from each other. We chose this house for the its charm and water view, and central location to visit a number of sights around Cape Coral, Pine Island, and Ft. Meyers. The host was very responsive and helpful and provided everything we can think of for a great experience at the house.

First time to Cape Coral

Our family stayed at the Cape Lake House & we had a great time. The house is exactly as advertised, the owners are very quick to respond with any questions & the location is close or within a reasonable driving distance to just about everything there is to offer in Cape Coral/Ft. Myers area. Very clean, well stocked & a great layout for a family of 10. We had two littles under the age of 2 & teens (17 & 18). Everyone had their own space. The Lanai & pool were awesome. Swimming in the rain was a hi lite of our trip. We enjoyed the kayaks & paddle boarding along with fishing in the lake. The local farmers market was wonderful if you like to cook & eat in. The house is very well stocked for this. Our favs for dining out were Lobster Lady, Pinchers, & the FishTail. Other activities we enjoyed were golf, deep sea fishing, putt putt golf & go carts, & our son in law drove to go on a shark dive. Great comfortable stay with lots of fun had by all.

Our Cape Lake House Vacation was Incredible!

This house provided the perfect summer retreat for our family (5 total: my wife & I, our 16 yo daughter & 18 yo son + his girlfriend). Cathy & Stu were quite possibly the best hosts we have encountered in our Vrbo journeys … kind, helpful, communicative, & highly responsive. Just great. Gorgeous house, stocked, super comfy bedrooms, all the creature comforts of home including any kitchen gadgets we needed, board games, awesome living areas inside & out (I’ll get to the outside next) with a chill, beachy Florida vibe. We absolutely loved this place. The garage game room (ping pong & foosball tables) got good use, as did the 2 sets of washer/dryers. Outside was even better - heated salt water pool, 2 person hot tub, plus a lot of toys (pool floats, kayaks & paddle board for the lake, etc) made us never want to leave. +Plenty of pool towels. We loved getting up early and sitting on the screened back porch, soaking in the view over the pool and out over the lake. So relaxing. When we did leave, they had all the beach gear we could want/need (towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc). We did not use the bikes, but only because we didn’t have time! Decent local restaurants, but mostly a bit of a drive. There’s a terrific little coffee kiosk (Gourmet Latte) about a half mile from the house that we frequented often. Great local farmers market on Sat downtown Cape Coral. Truly, this house is STOCKED and blew us away with comfort! We will hopefully be back!
