Super nice house and a very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood was very quiet!

Overall it was a great stay. We had a couple of issues but nothing that wasn't addressed immediately. The beds are comfortable. The home was clean and had plenty of supplies.

Pool was amazing. Perfect location to beach

We had the best trip at this location. The pool was great for our kids and adults in our group. The beach was such a short walk and Jeff had all the beach items and wagon that made the trips to and from so easy. We are already planning on staying here next year!

Highly recommend, absolutely beautiful place right across from the beach. Pool is perfect for relaxing after a long day at the beach or for night swim. Publix is close by as well

Jeff is fantastic

Property was great, loved the 2nd floor screened porch off the kitchen and living room, pool was great to cool off in. Location from the beach was great, accommodations included were wonderful, beach chairs, beach buggy wagon, would definitely stay here again. Jeff is amazing, super accommodating, 5 star host for sure!

Very nice house and only a 5-minute walk to the beach. Screened in front porch was very nice and relaxing. The house came with everything you needed for the beach; however, we had our own chairs so didn't need to use them. Pool was a nice addition but only used it once or twice as we spent our time on the beach. Will stay at this house again when we come back to Ft Myers Beach.

Perfect Family Beach Vacation Home

Amazing stay for family of 5!

This house was absolutely fantastic. It offered all the amenities we were hoping for — from a beautiful pool area to very clean and well-stocked everything, just bring your suit case! The location couldn’t be better; it’s just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to catch both sunrise and sunset every day, and easy for our 3 kids to walk. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean - LOVED the primary bathroom! We also appreciated the little touches — “party lights” and Bluetooth speaker by the pool, plenty of comfortable seating in the screened in porch, all the things you’d need for the beach, and incredibly comfortable bedding. Jeff was very helpful and very responsive for any questions we had. Our family has stayed in many places, but this one truly stood out. We would absolutely stay here again without hesitation!

Great Family Place

We had so much fun at Dolphin Run Retreat. The house had everything we needed for a great family vacation. It came equipped with umbrellas, chairs, and a wagon for the beach in the morning and a pool for the afternoon. It was so close to the beach we also went to star gaze a few nights. The rooms were also nice with enough room for everyone to spread out and have a little space too. Overall, we would definitely stay here again next time through.

Beach Vacay

Relaxing Getaway

We had a wonderful time at Dolphin Run Retreat. Easy short walk to the beach where we were practically alone. Wonderful sunsets every evening with a nice group of locals and their dogs. The shuttle stop on the corner is quite convenient. We really didn't need a car. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Loved having the private pool and patio. Appreciated the wagon, chairs, umbrella and coolers for use at the beach. We would love to stay here again. It was everything we were looking for.

Repeat family vacation

This was our second stay at the property and it was wonderful, again! The house is large enough for our group of 6 and the pool was wonderful. Very relaxing and a short few minute walk to the beach. The walk is super easy. We used the grill this time and that was nice. We used the beach buggy and took chairs, an umbrella, sand tools all provided in the house. A couple of the things we enjoyed in the area: We also did a sight-sea-r cruise from fort Myers beach for the first time and loved it. We chose the shelling and eco tour because it gave us the chance to snorkel off big hickory key and look for shells. We played mini golf at pirates cove. We loved our dinners at Doc Fords, Dixie fish company, Love Boat ice cream. Thanks for sharing your wonderful beach house!

Best Beach Christmas Vacation

My family had an amazing time at Jeff's property. Jeff was very responsive to any questions that we had during our stay. The house was in a great location. It was walking distance to a couple of restaurants and the grocery store. The beach is a short one and a half block walk. Sometimes we use the wagon that Jeff provided and other times we just carried our chairs. The beach is absolutely gorgeous easy to walk on and not crowded over Christmas time. The house was in pristine condition. Upon our arrival. There were plenty of blankets and bedding for our family. Jeff has some games, but now there are many puzzles waiting for anyone to tackle them. We left several there because we plan on returning again next year to visit. The pool was in beautiful condition and was warm on the cold days that we experienced, which were few. This was one of our favorite Christmas vacation trips that we have taken, which is shown by our willingness to return to the property next year. The convenience of Fort Myers airport and Punta Gorda airport allowed our adult children to come visit us while we stayed for a month. I would highly recommend the property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing fun and comfortable vacation.

Ideal beach house for a family in a great location.

We recently spent 5 nights at this property in Fort Myers Beach, FL and had a fantastic trip. The house was exactly as described on the VRBO listing and was ideal for our family of 5. My children very much enjoyed the pool. Everything was clean and all the listed amenities were available. The owner responded immediately via text message to a few simple questions I had during our stay. You can actually see the ocean from the house for now at least until they finish rebuilding the whole neighborhood and the walk from the house until your feet are in the ocean is literally less than 5 minutes. There is a beach ready wagon at the property which makes getting chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc. to the beach very easy. Publix, a supermarket, is now open and is about a 3 minute drive from the house. The town of Fort Myers Beach is very much still rebuilding however the beaches were all open and are beautiful. The town itself seems to be coming back to life. Several restraunts have opened back up recently most towards the top of the island and we very much enjoyed eating at waterfront tables when dining out.

Best Vacation Rental Ever!

This turned out to be a nearly perfect place for our family to stay for our Florida vacation. The house is attractive, well maintained, and well laid out for a group like ours. There was plenty of space for all three generations to relax in, with space to share when we wanted to be together, and space to retreat into when we wanted time to ourselves. One of our favorite features was the screened-in lanai, which always seemed to catch a cooling breeze, even on the hottest days. We spent most of our quiet time out there, and ate all our meals out there, too. The young kids loved spending all their non-beach-time in the pool. The shallow end is just the right depth for a six year old to play in without help, and an adult can stand up in the deep end to provide support when the kids want to be adventurous. The adults loved watching them and joining in the play in the bug-free screened-in enclosure. The house is located just three blocks away from a beautiful white-sand beach. Our whole group walked there multiple times a day to enjoy the gentle surf, with waves just big enough to give a convincing "ocean experience" but small enough to allow the kid to play independently. With the beach so close, we even went out on after dark beach combing expeditions, where we experienced a variety of sea life that is not seen during the day. (Be sure to bring head lamps if you plan to do this.) Overall, I can't imagine a better place to stay for a fun and relaxing vacation.
