Nice little getaway
Very nice cottage. Had an enjoyable time there. The mattress though was very soft and high off the ground. And if there would be a hand rail in the shower it would give more peace of mind while using it, as our group consisted of senior citizens

Great Family Vacation

Wonderful cottage. Great location and perfect clean and tasteful decor. Perfect kitchen and dining options both indoor and out. Everyone enjoyed the time we had together there close to the beach, state park and The Tally Ho!

Nice place
I’m originally from Port Huron but now live in New Mexico. My fiancé and I rented the Lighthouse cottage. My son and his wife and daughter flew in from Montana and stayed with us. The cottage is in a beautiful area, within a short walking distance to the beach. It easily accommodated 5 people. Close to Port Huron and Lexington. Would recommend!

place was spotlessly clean, everything worked properly, stocked with kitchen items. the location was great just across the street. It was easy to get to other thing like the state parks , swinging bridge and the Lake Huron Harbor/pier. Couldn't be happier great place for a family to stay.

Perfect Lake Huron Get-Away!
We have enjoyed staying at these darling cabins over the past few years. They are clean, well appointed, and perfectly situated just a short walk from a public beach on Lake Huron, which includes a playground structure, tennis and basketball courts, and a lakefront which is perfect for swimming. If you are coming from the Detroit area, it takes less than two hours to drive to this ideal location to enjoy a very special vacation near a Great Lake. We will continue to return to these cabins for summer fun each summer. They are awesome!

Fabulous Stay
This property was exactly as shown. It was clean and updated. It was also in a great location that was quiet, yet close to everything we needed. It is incredibly charming and so was the area. We loved that we could easily walk or drive to the beach within a few minutes. Colleen was an exceptional host. She was super-friendly and quick to respond when we had questions. Awesome Lake Huron Cottage
Our family stayed in the Lighthouse Cottage for four days in July, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Check-in was very simple, and the cottage was spotless when we arrived. The location is fantastic, right across the street from a large park and beach on the shore of Lake Huron. We spent a few days just playing in the water and on the beach, and it was very peaceful. The cottage has everything you could ever need, and all we needed to do was to find a spot for ice cream! We looked no further than the Pepperoni Cow, less than 10 minutes away, for pizza and delicious ice cream! Our kids (11, 7, 3) loved the place! There are several other restaurants very close to the cottage, and the Walmart and other big box stores are less than 15 minutes from the cottage. We had no issues whatsoever, and the cottage is stocked with plenty of little luxuries that made our stay even more fun. The chess/checkers table provided a few hours of entertainment during a rainstorm, and the bench swings outside were cozy and relaxing. This cottage and location is perfect for families with kids, but anyone can stay here and feel comfortable! Colleen was awesome to work with, but we barely talked because everything was fantastic! We certainly appreciate the opportunity to escape the hustle of everyday life for a bit, especially during a pandemic! The cleanliness and attention to detail made us feel completely comfortable. We will certainly inquire about staying here again if we come back to Lake Huron!

Rental felt safe for me and my two teen daughters. Kitchen was huge! Friendly local folks. Super convenient to community park for water fun or to local restaurant for a burger/beer. Yard was great play place- when not too windy for volleying ball or badminton birdies. Super lush grass. Great fire pit layout. Couldn’t find the hammock referenced in info page :-( —Great yard for comfort lounging & cookout.

The 3 bedroom cottage was like walking into a second home. Everything was clean and organized. We were able to walk across the street and we were at the park and beach. The beach was very nice and not crowded. There was WiFi for kids and a closet full of games for at night. We will be returning again next year!

Great layout and new cabins. So close to beach!
If you need a place for multiple families or friends this is the place! There are 4 cabins with plenty of room and a great common area between them for outdoor dining, fires at night, volleyball and yard games. If you are renting individually it is still private in front of each cabin. The cabins are great- new, clean, really great beach decor, all the kitchen Supplies and LinEnd you need. This cabin is the biggest with 3 good dissed bedrooms and a very large living, dining and kitchen area. The only thing you should be aware of is that next door/across the driveway are some neighbors that are sketchy. But they stayed to themselves. Our open yard common area between the cabins isolates you from everywhere else which is nice. The beach is a very quick 2 min walk. You can see it out you door. The huge park across the way is awesome too! Plenty of things for kids to do. Colleen is great to work with and she has some partners and family that help out so you will be taken care of! She really is customer oriented. We are planning on coming back and renting all the cottages next year for a family week!

Nice weekend away
The house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and easily accommodated 2 adults and 3 teen girls. There were several beaches within a 15 minute drive as well as the small one across the street. The girls played several of the games that were on site. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. The grill outside looked like it had not been used in awhile so we opted to not use it. The check in/out process was easy and the owner answered our questions quickly.

It was a great place to stay. Lots of room, things to do on the property. Unfortunately it wasn't very clean though. The rugs all had an odor, lots of sand on the floor, dirty dishes in drawers, and counters all had to be cleaned. This was our second year staying here and the cleanliness was not an issue last year. We still had a great time, but just had to do some of our own cleaning. The owner was kind and flexible. Overall nice experience.

Just What We Needed
This year we wanted something close to home and this fit the bill perfectly. The house has plenty of space, plenty of supplies, and a lovely location right across the street from the park. A short drive into the town of Lexington for an outing was great, as was the Croswell Fair. Our whole family had plenty of fun! Colleen (the owner) was always easy to reach, prompt in responses, and very helpful.

We were in town to attend a family reunion weekend nearby. We had a very comfortable and cool stay this past weekend which was the hottest and muggiest of the season (so far!). I can't say enough about the communication and helpfulness of Colleen! The beds were comfortable, all linens were great. Great kitchen. Great, great, great! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We did not take advantage of the outside amenities, but the property is well maintained and has lots of outdoor seating. I'd say the only problem we had was with the TV. I'd like to preface these comments with the fact that we are not very experienced with video streaming. There's no cable TV on this property. The TV is a Vizio Smart TV and you download the Smartcast app. We were not able to successfully connect our cell service (Xfinity Mobile and Samsung Galaxy S9 phone) with the TV. The owners tried to help us out, but to no avail. If you want to watch TV, I suggest bringing videos. There is a combination DVD and VCR machine and there are a few DVD's available. I was able to get service to my phone with only 1-2 bars on the WiFi which is probably why we couldn't connect to the TV.

Beautiful cottage, great for families!!!
This is a beautiful cottage that was wonderful for two families with 3 children (ages 2, 6, and 7). We had a wonderful time on our vacation and the cottage met our needs perfectly. It has a great floorplan and we loved that the children could all sleep together in bunk beds in one room. It was also well stocked with games (the kids loved the card table with a chess/checker board). We loved being across the street from the park (that had several playgrounds) and the small beach on Lake Huron. We also liked the proximity to Lexington and enjoyed the beach and restaurants there. Having the picnic tables, outdoor seating, fire pit, and volleyball/badminton net was also a nice addition. The hosts are very responsive and quick to address any questions or concerns. We definitely look forward to our next stay here!!

This comfortable cottage has everything you need inside. Open concept living and kitchen area, 3 nice bedrooms, laundry, etc. Very nicely decorated, too. Across the street is a large park and the beach. We spent lots of time in the water and visited Lexington twice. The owner was available to answer any questions when needed. Would recommend for sure.

Super clean and spacious!
My kids and I were very impressed by the clean, warm welcome we felt when we walked in. The kitchen is user friendly and well lit. The hammock, badminton, variety of DVD’s and board games were all part of making family fun memories. I have 2 college age kids who don’t often participate in the “family activities” with my youngest and I but this was the perfect opportunity for us all to feel relaxed and have some bonding time before they all go their separate ways this fall.
