We checked in on a Monday, there was 5 adults. 3 of us adults were still working during the week and commuting to work, so we had 5 vehicles parked on the property. Diana's first issue with my family was the number of vehicles we had, calling it "unusual" that we had 5 vehicles. Telling us that she should be charging extra for the vehicles. No where in the VRBO listing did it say we were only allowed a certain number of vehicles. Days prior to our stay we emailed Diana telling her that we may have family stopping by to visit, in the email she stated this would be fine and to "enjoy the beach." On Wednesday we had my two 8 year old nieces come over for a few hours to play on the beach. Diana came for a visit that day, approached my husband and daughter on the back porch asked how many people we had. Diana then took a walk down to the beach to see who was there, later that evening she told us that she observed extra kids on the beach. Telling us that "honesty was the best policy". I guess she wanted us to notify her the exact time and day we would be having family over, we were never told this. On Thursday Diana realized that we had a dog there, the VRBO was listed as pet friendly, my husband brought our dog on Wednesday, we had her leashed the whole time. It was an honest mistake on our part that we didn't think to tell Diana that we would be bringing a pet, but also when we booked our vacation it never asked if we were bringing a pet, and Diana never bothered to email us days leading up to our vacation to ask if we would be bringing a pet. So, when Diana was cleaning the adjoining suite we assume she heard our dog bark, she then approached the deck, asking "do you have a dog here?" we said "Yes", she then looked down shook her head back and fourth, gave a smug laugh and said "you didn't think of telling me this?" She's a rude condescending person. Later that day when I left to take the dog home she approached the deck again asking my 2 daughters where I was because she needed to speak with me, she then got into a verbal argument with my daughters telling them she was "wasting her breath on them." When I spoke with her she told me she didn't want anymore "surprises", telling me my family was hogging the 160 feet of beach. Then on Friday family of hers came in and set up 6 tents on the beach, strung a hammock between 2 trees, made a bar out of the gazebo, but this was all fine because they were family. Diane didn't make our stay enjoyable.
