Beautiful garden right out in front. Bed was comfortable and clean, just what we needed after a long day of travel. And the staff was nice enough to let us in after office hours. Overall, an affordable and pleasant place to stay in Fort Bragg.

We did a quick trip to Fort Bragg and the Surf Motel was perfect we got the room with the big soaker tub and it was so nice. Very clean and quiet. Close to shopping and David's Restaurant!!!

We always enjoy staying here for the nice bbq and fire pit area the kids have a blast. Staff is usually really nice. But the huge down fall is rooms are not always the cleanest . Extra blankets smelt of dirty feet so didn’t use them. Mom room reeked of dirty feet and smoke it was awful.

We stayed here Friday night, for the Whale Walk & Run Saturday morning. It was a good night; beds were comfortable and the staff that checked us in was very friendly and knowledgeable.

While this is an old style motor motel, the rooms are updated with nice amenities, new carpet, walkin shower, flat screen TV etc. Some wear and tear on wood moulding and paint corners but nothing to contain about. Easy access to hwy 1 and businesses but no road noise. Quiet even on Friday night, except for a bit of parking lot door slams as people pulled in. Wifi was secure and I noticed solar panels on the roof. Office staff friendly and helpful. Only minor issue was the toilet was older and very small, lower than full size, like in Elementary school bath rooms. Could be harder on older knees. Light continental breakfast and good coffee. We'd stay again if in the area.
