About this property

DustOff Sand | 3BR Coastal Vacation home in Fort Bragg

  • Dustoff Sand — Your Coastal Leave Destination

Secure your next coastal deployment at Dustoff Sand, a mission-ready
3-bedroom, 2-bath home, complete with an outdoor shower. This
ocean-view beach retreat is located just steps from Ward Avenue Beach
on the rugged and beautiful Mendocino Coast. Designed with comfort,
relaxation, and reconnection in mind. This nautical-inspired home is
the perfect liberty destination for military families, veterans, first
responders, and any other civilians looking to stand down and
    recharge.

Just a short walk from the house, Ward Avenue Beach offers miles of
open shoreline, rolling dunes, crashing surf, and sweeping Pacific
views. Watch snowy plovers and sandpipers patrol the tideline while
you soak in the fresh ocean air and leave everyday worries behind.

    Base Camp Comfort

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by a well-maintained flower garden
and an acre of peaceful surroundings that immediately put you at ease.
You will be issued a pass for rest and relaxation (R&R) on the
strategically placed deck with an ocean view at the bar. The beautiful
sunsets here are required viewing.  You are also permitted access to
R&R at the back patio table.  The patio provides the perfect setting
for sunrise coffee, evening drinks, or quiet moments after a full day
of coastal operations. Feel at ease taking a range walk on the stone
pathway that leads to the fire pit, where all pogie bait (smores) are
welcome. Before lights out, your order is to be leaning back in the
comfortable Adirondack chairs, where the stars you see will out-rank
all other stars you may have served with.

Inside, the open-concept living and dining area serves as mission
control for your stay. Whether you’re gathering the family for movie
night, swapping stories from the day’s adventures, or simply kicking
back on the luxurious leather couch, the space is built for connection
and comfort. Rustic exposed brick details and subtle coastal décor
create an atmosphere that’s equal parts relaxed and refined.

    Fully Equipped Galley

The kitchen is stocked and ready for action with everything needed to
    feed the whole crew, including:

    Kitchen island workspace
    4-burner gas stove
    Microwave
    Dishwasher
Water dispenser - hot & cold
Washer and dryer for extended stays

Ocean-inspired touches throughout the home keep the coastal vibe front
and center — see if you can spot the hidden starfish tucked into the
    décor.

The dining area seats six comfortably, making it easy for everyone to
gather for meals, game nights, or mission briefings before the next
    adventure.

    Rack Out & Recharge

After a long day exploring the coast, retreat to one of three
comfortable sleeping quarters designed for rest and recovery.

    Sleeping arrangements include:

    Two queen bedrooms
One room with two twin beds
Large-screen TV in the primary bedroom

Soft quilts, quality linens, and cozy pillows ensure every guest gets
    the downtime they deserve.

    Inspection-Ready Latrines

Both bathrooms feature durable stone tile finishes and quality
fixtures designed for convenience and comfort.

    One bathroom includes a bathtub
The second features a walk-in shower, double vanity, and dual sinks
for efficient morning prep before heading out

    Area Operations & Local Recon

    MacKerricher State Park

Located just down the road, MacKerricher State Park is packed with
outdoor opportunities for every experience level. The accessible
Laguna Point boardwalk offers stunning ocean views, wildlife
sightings, and a 360-degree viewing platform where seals and sea lions
    can often be spotted offshore.

Explore tide pools, wetlands, black sand beaches, and scenic coastal
bluffs. Then hit the historic Old Haul Road trail for walking and
biking adventures stretching from Ward Avenue to Pudding Creek Beach.
You can take a right (north) on the Ward Avenue Beach, and you have
10-mile Beach - a great place for ten miles of physical training (PT).
From your mode of transportation, head north on Hwy 1 to Pacific Star
Winery, which has cliffside ocean views.  (An already reconned
    favorite.)

    Surf & Adventure

Creek. Families and casual explorers will enjoy the park’s scenic
    trails and wildlife viewing areas.

colorful murals, cafés, museums, boutique shopping, and award-winning
    restaurants serving fresh coastal cuisine.

historic Point Cabrillo Light Station, and Glass Beach.

    Noyo Harbor

For fresh seafood and authentic coastal culture, head to Noyo Harbor
for locally caught fish, whale-watching charters, and unforgettable
    Pacific experiences.

    End of Day Debrief

When the day’s adventures are complete, return to Dustoff Sand and
settle in for a peaceful evening by the coast. Let the sound of
crashing waves replace the noise of everyday life as you recharge for
another day on the Mendocino shoreline.

Orders are simple at Dustoff Sand: slow down, breathe deep, write in
the guestbook, and enjoy the Mendocino coast.
