Hoh Chalet A cozy cabin on the Olympic Peninsula

The Hoh Chalet is a cozy cabin located on the Olympic Peninsula in the Hoh River Basin. It is heated with a woodstove and has spiral stairs to get up to both bedrooms. Pictures of stairs are in additional photos in this listing.

The space
The Chalet is a small cabin, just 400 sq ft per floor. It is an independant home and is powered by solar energy. The inside is DIY finished with repurposed materials. Only the appliances are new.
This two-story cabin has 2 bedrooms upstairs with a double bed in each and a desk in the hall. The entry level has a kitchenette, bathroom, dining area and common area with a hide-a-bed in the sitting room. It is heated with a woodstove; firewood, cable TV, and Wi-Fi are provided.

Guest access
There is plenty of parking, with a carport for smaller vehicles. You are welcome to walk down the road, and tour our property. We have a berry farm and U-Pick berries starting in late June as well as a grocery garden, and a path through our wooded area. A large communal fire pit is located behind our retail shack where Hoh Made Jam, Native Hoh River Smoked Salmon, and local arts and crafts are available.
Other things to note
Access to the upper floor is via a spiral staircase. If you have small children or do not do stairs easily, this may not be for you.
Pets are allowed, but they may not be left unattended.

Our stay was short but sweet. We were able to see Ruby beach just around the corner for a beautiful sunset and were greeted by friendly dogs/cats near the property on our arrival. We had a great time!

Chalet off the beaten path.
We were looking for a place to stay for one night that wasn't too far from the Hoh rain forest. This place fit the bill and exceeded expectations! A lovingly renovated little cabin that was very close to places like Ruby Beach and closer to the rainforest than Forks. Quiet, quaint, and with a definite off the grid feel even with the wifi and television! Warm enough that night we didn't need the wood stove. The stars at night are beautiful without any light pollution!

Eccentric and rustic little cabin
Cute little cabin with an adorable host. It's not luxurious by any means, but the little trinkets and details everywhere will make you feel right at home! The stairs are really steep amd the recycled nature of some materials might need families with a toddler to to be a little careful

Crozy and creative cabin
We only stayed a night in this stunning DIY masterpiece, but all of us want to come back! Everything was lovely!! I especially loved the stunning tiles in the bathroom! It's worth the visit even if only to witness the amazing craftsmanship and creativity that runs through this little cottage 🌟💖

Anniversary trip
The description was totally accurate. We enjoyed our time. Our only concern is the spiral staircase-it woukd be difficult for someone either older than us or less physically able. Otherwise it is a great setting, close to the beach and hiking trails, as well as the rainforest. The owner/manager was very helpful when we had questions and had very clear instructions about the facility.
