"We upgraded (paid extra) to reserve a higher level room. This turned out not to be an upgrade because when we arrived we realized 1 of the 2 elevators was not working. Later we were told 1 elevator was out because it hadn’t been inspected as it should be. After we arrived, checked in and settled in to our 9th floor room, we were notified BOTH elevators were out. We reached out to the front desk and were asked “you can’t take stairs?” From that point on, elevators were repaired and then back down again. Since we had to leave the room at a minimum to eat, during our stay we had to take stairs from 9th floor down once and then up once. This was a huge problem for 2 people that aren’t in tip top cardio shape and 1 that has asthma. For travelers that verify a place has elevators before booking, this was a big let down and inconvenience."

"Cute little apartment near the beach! We visited CHS for the Cooper River Bridge Run & to see our daughter at the College of Charleston. This apartment was a much better value than staying in a hotel. We enjoyed sitting on the deck to relax and the main bedroom was huge. Very quick walk to the beach and beach access was directly across the street. We’d stay again!"

"We left one night early due to two different sightings of cockroaches within the home. One was on the couch our first evening there. The second was on my INFANT DAUGHTER’S bed when I went to check on her. Also, the couch and living area floor was heavily stained and smelled of mold and vomit. We did not feel it is safe to keep our daughter there one more night. We would like at the very least, a refund for this last night that we were unable to stay safely. We are so disappointed as our sister is here from Italy and we planned this trip with her to spend time with her niece for the first time."
