Mermaid Retreat 2 Blocks From the Beach! ~Sea Glass Cottage

One of Folly's Best! This classic and renovated cozy beach cottage is only a two minute stroll to the Atlantic Ocean! This 1 queen bedroom 1 bath cottage has a daybed in the living area so it can accommodate up to three guests but it is also the perfect couple's getaway. An oversized antique stained glass window in the bedroom adds romance to this sweet bungalow. Sea Glass is located in a quiet residential area only a six block stroll to the Center Street restaurants nightlife and fishing pier. There is a grilling area and laundry facility on site. The cottage also has a private screened porch. Sea Glass Cottage allows up to 2 well-behaved, house-broken, flea-treated dogs with approval. Please include the breed and size of your dog when you inquire. Grill use: propane and cleaning responsibility of the guest.
Sea Glass Cottage shares a laundry room that is located on the ground level of neighboring 615 East Erie. Please respect your neighbors and remove clothes as soon as possible. Please book with confidence. This property is licensed by the city of Folly Beach as a vacation rental - LIC005366. Location to beach is great. A little tight with our dog and infant. Bed mattress could be better. Overall decent property for the price.

Close to the beach.

We enjoyed our nice walks to the beach and the neighborhood. It was about 6 blocks to walk to shopping and eating. We found parking that worked out nicely for us.

Perfect pet friendly cottage

Great location near beach and bark park. A little of a walk into the main rd and restaurant's but definitely possible. Charming cottage and well appointed. I would stay again!

Small cottage hide-away

Birthday getaway

This was our first time at Folly Beach, the cottage was as described, perfect size for two of us and our dog. Very clean inside and out, the property managers checked on us on our first day, very nice and polite. We went on tours during the day, walked the beach in the afternoon/ sometimes at night. The cottage is only a 20 minute drive to Charleston, and many other historic sights! We enjoyed ourselves, loved the Sea Glass Cottage!

Great weekend getaway

Cute cottage- great location to beach access- hot shower. Front porch was charming but Could use some wood and screen replacement/ it's the beach, weather is brutal on wood. Overall, I'd stay there again.

Beach Cottage

Loved this cottage getaway. It had everything you would need. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood. It was within walking distance to shops, the beach,restaurants and more. Also recommend going downtown to eat at Chubby Fish and have a glass of wine at the Tippling House. Love all the charm of Charleston.

Cozy cottage, perfect for a couple or small family. Easy walk to the beach, short drive or walk to restaurants and shops. Not the fanciest, but full of character. Just what you want on Folly!

This was a great place for me; nicely furnished and comfortable; lovely front porch and backyard; loved walking the neighborhood Only con for me was I was unable to access the wifi network and let the rental company know but they didn’t respond; must say it wouldn’t keep me from staying there again!

Perfect Getaway

We came to Charleston for some medical testing at MUSC but wanted to offset with a short vacation. This property was perfect. It was awesome that we could bring the dogs with us and it was a very quick walk to the ocean. It was very cozy and had all the amenities we needed. The only thing we would have changed was the queen bed was very creaky and not very comfortable. Being there for medical reasons, it would have been nice to have a more comfortable bed. We ended up sleeping separately on the couch and day bed so we could be more comfortable and have the TV on. If the mattress was changed, we would stay again in a heartbeat. We LOVED the location and property.

Cute and convenient

Cute, clean pet friendly cottage conveniently located near down town and quick access to the beach. Small AC unit, but did the job well. If you prefer a cooler room to sleep in, I would recommend bringing an extra portable fan for the bedroom. Also, there were not any covers on the couch cushions, which could be due to potential damage from pets, so I would recommend bringing a few extra blankets or sheets to protect the couch. Overall, a wonderful, cozy stay.

Perfect location!

This beach cottage was as listed and in the perfect location! Easy walking to town, the beach and easy to access downtown Charleston. I enjoyed staying in this cottage, however upon arrival there were several air fresheners that were extremely strong. For medical reasons, I cannot have intense smells. I reached out to the property manager who told me they did not have air fresheners in the house, yet I found 4 hidden. I wish they had been honest upfront. Otherwise, amazing stay! Highly recommend!

Easy, Cozy Stay

Everything at property represented as is in listing. Appreciated that we could bring our dogs and property was able to accommodate a last minute early checkin for added fee. Rules/instructions were straight forward and house had everything we needed to make a rainy stay comfy and cozy. We loved the little town of Folly. We have family in Charleston so this was close enough to be able to participate in the functions we travelled for but far enough away to feel like we had our own getaway. My only complaint, truly, was the shower. The pressure was low and the temperature kept changing from hot to cold on its own. But I don’t personally book properties based on the shower, but just in case anyone reading this does… Everything else was near perfect.

Folly Beach is wonderful. The cottage was ok.

We loved the area. We enjoyed beautiful weather and Folly Beach itself is great! The cottage and property management left a little to be desired. The grill didn't work. There was no regular oven. There was a convection oven but the rack needed to use the convection oven was missing. I called management and they weren't able to help. There were no instructions for the TV. The bed was covered with foam pads that bunched up making the bed very lumpy. The entire mattress and foam pads were encased in a zippered plastic cover so you were basically sleeping on a sheet of thick plastic. The bottom sheet was too small and wouldn't stay on the mattress, bunching up around you and again - you were left sleeping on a thick plastic cover. The cottage wasn't really very clean. It had obviously been gone through before we arrived but it appeared linens were changed and fresh towels put out but that was about it.
