The Regatta is quaint and quiet about 1/4 of a mile from the beach and 1.5 miles from Center Street.

Stayed here for a getaway. I had never been to Charleston, other than to pass through. It was great and the Inn was close enough to make it easy to get to everything. The staff was outstanding and went out of their way to help whenever we needed anything. I would definitely stay here again.

It was very nice, but the food was lacking…breakfast offerings were just mediocre. K-cup brewer would be a better option for coffee. They didn’t have creamer on our last day.

Beautiful inn and beautiful views. Quiet and safe area. Easy parking. Staff, breakfast and happy hour were wonderful. Only complaint is - the mattress cover should probably be replaced as it had some old stains on it. Other than that, everything was very nice.

Beautiful views!
Cute Inn away from downtown on the Marina. Easy check in although you need to climb stairs with your bags. Very nicely designed but in need of updates! Carpet in our bedroom was rumbling and bathtub was cracked on the exterior. Towels are worn out. Breakfast was pretty good. Views are beautiful!

Sunsets and views..
Location is away from center of town, which i like. Views of Folly River are great and sunsets spectacular. No complementary happy hour( quess off season). Breakfast was small but for free who can complain. Inn was clean and kept up. Only complaint was on last night i had someone stay in room beside me and it must have been a grizzly bear from the snoring i heard all night. Will stay here again but only on top floor with no neighbors...lol

Great place to relax! Our room was perfect overlooking the Folly River with the BEST with great sunsets! quiet beaches closeby less than 5 minutes drive were pristine. Reserved a 2 hour catamaran up the Folly River (sailfolly.com) which was a great experience with dolphins, birds, etc. Downtown eateries Rita's and Lost Dog were comfort food with good quality for a beach town. We will be back again from Boston

This was an amazing hotel! The room was clean upon arrival and Bonnie was absolutely amazing!! She answered all our questions and gave us a ride to and from the main Folly Beach area when it was storming. If Bonnie reads this, I want her to know that we did end up seeing nesting sea turtles on our last night :) Amazing experience! The happy hours and breakfasts were great as well. We never went hungry! Other gusts were also quite kind and chatting with them at happy hour was always a good time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a place to stay at Folly Beach.

Hello Christy,We deeply apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay, our staff is focused on providing the best quality stay, breakfast, cleanliness and overall experience.Please note, the fireplace in the room you stayed(Olympus) is inoperable until the winter, this is to avoid any possible hazard to our guest/s given that our environment experiences extreme heat in the summer. Thus, us removing the fireplace amenity from the description and reverting such amenity once the cooler times chimes in.In regards to the tub not working, unfortunately I'm not sure what you mean. The tub is a standalone tub that operates by sealing the drain with the plug that's connected to the tub, then filling it up with your desired amount of water using the pipe/handle available. Both plug and pipe were functioning prior to your stay and expelling water as it ought to. In the future we kindly ask that you notify the staff when something/s are not functioning in your room to better assist you. Thank you for staying with us, we hope to see you again!

We loved our stay – especially the location on the reviews from our corner room. Quiet and secure – offered us a lovely respite from very busy beach side activity of a family wedding week though just a stone’s throw from family & events. Bonuses: Happy hour, beach towels, and breakfast casserole! Our one and only complaint— some of the hostesses brewed coffee weaker than weak tea. (Thanks, Kiki, for strong brew!)

Beware ! Terrible! Singled out ! Unprofessional! I picked this place over good reviews which I shouldn’t have! Checked in on Friday and Saturday two employees come to my room to move me to a different room said that Expedia had booked two rooms for me contacted Expedia. Expedia called and the employees would not answer the phone when Expedia called about the moving of rooms .So Expedia couldn’t help with the problem. Then the employees came back again two hours later,telling me that I would need to move rooms on Monday night ,so I then I contact Expedia again in Which guaranteed me that it was not them that booked two rooms for me I only had one room booked for my stay. After the employees finally answer the phone the employees came back again telling me that they did not come to agreement with Expedia and she would let me stay in that room my whole stay. The employees blamed Expedia and Expedia blamed the place I was staying. Felt singled out they weren’t moving anyone else from room to room just trying to make us. Did not receive any room service at all my entire stay of four nights. I had to go ask for toiletries and towels my whole stay there. On the website, it said breakfast was at 8 AM. No breakfast was out at that time. No golf cart service either to the beach like it said on website. With the money that my husband and I paid for the room, you would think that it would be a great stay, it wasn’t. Terrible customer service!

We are a small entity and thus strive to achieve a superb stay for all guest/s whether you’re staying a night or a month with us. We appreciate everyone’s business but our staff is equipped with customer skills that excels beyond a reservation number.Firstly, I want to reiterate to you that Regatta Inn is NOT responsible for room switches conducted under Expedia, there’s an automated text message that’s sent to all expedia travelers who books with Regatta Inn; imploring them to inquire with Expedia and/or Regatta Inn if there's a room switch after they’ve booked their reservation, because Regatta Inn is not privilege to this information until after the guest books with Expedia. We understand from your perspective that this flaw translates to a Regatta’s issue; however, as an Adult-only property we pride ourselves in taking 100% accountability where it deems befitting.Conclusion: Regatta is working assiduously with their Expedia marketing manager to resolve unknown room switchesI want to address the fact that you felt “singled-out”, Regatta Inn prohibits favoritism and strongly rejects any behavior that constitutes our guests feeling that way. We will reach out to you personally in an effort to reverse such perspective. However, your idea of being singled out is quite fictional, because coincidentally the guest who was to move in your room actually was an inhouse expedia guest that experienced the room switch dilemma that you experienced. They were to move from the Olympus(3rd floor) to your room, but they were kind enough to understand that you didn’t favor moving so they settled for the room exactly beside your room. In total 3 room moves were conducted that day, obviously you wouldn’t be made aware of these moves because that’s a Regatta administrative situation- not the guest. All guests are entitled to housekeeping services, it is very unfortunate that you didn’t receive any during your stay. However, Housekeeping services are offered ONLY upon request, I assume you(and many travelers) were/are under the notion that housekeeping would be conducted regardless; unless you stick a DND sign on. Given that we are a small scale entity, we operate slightly differently in an effort to enforce utmost privacy and a homey feeling, we ask upon check-in that you either stick your sign out or communicate with us by whichever means that you will need housekeeping services.Throughout your stay I can confirm that you didn’t request housekeeping services via your sign or through calling the desk or through texting or in person, you therefore would not have received any housekeeping services.There’s no record of you requesting golf cart services, the staff therefore would have no knowledge that you needed such services. If you requested such services and didn’t receive it, please respo

The building is located in a pretty spot and parking was not a problem. We were on the 4th floor in one of their nicest rooms. Remember, no elevators in this building. Upon arrival none of the bedside lamps worked, the television was not programmed, and both the air conditioning and the portable heater were running at full speed trying to cancel each other out. The young lady at the desk (a new employee) tried her best to assist us but was not able to solve any of the issues. Another guest offered to help and was able to get the lights working. We were able to get one extra blanket and just dealt with everything else since changing rooms was not a viable option. Unable to get regular coffee in our room and the only coffee pot for the entire inn is the same as in my home…makes 12 cups, therefore always empty. Breakfast and Happy Hour spreads were pathetic, both the quantity and the quality. And the towels were “skimpy”. When I requested clean towels, I was told, “we have to have your towels to wash, not enough towels to just exchange”. I never write a book for a review, but perhaps our experience will address a few of the issues this establishment is having so they can be corrected or give a future guest a heads up.

Speaking of which, given that our brand is Bed and Breakfast our hardworking, friendly staff designate much effort in making sure that you receive a scrumptious, healthy meal and refreshing happy hour however, we understand that each guest's experience will be different and we appreciate the time taken to speak about your perspective. Thank you for all the highlights and suggestions, rest assured that we have exercised all means to continuously enable a great getaway with fully functional rooms and adequate linens/amenities. We would love to accommodate you again at any random time, as a returned guest you are mandatorily offered sweet deals; should you stay with us again. Wonderful B & B.
We had a large 3rd floor room with a balcony overlooking the Folly River. Spectacular view and sunsets. Top notch bathroom. Very comfortable. Nice happy hour in the evening and breakfast in the morning.
