The check-in process was a breeze. I was met with a friendly smile and felt appreciated. The property grounds are great with excellent landscaping and immaculate pool/patio space. The interior was another story. The lobby and communal areas were great BUT the elevator smelled, hallways were dirty and smelly & the room was dated, dingy and smelled stagnant/stale. The bed was uncomfortable. The door latch had been broken and repaired, barely & no attempts to fill/paint the holes. I am glad I carry a safety lock with me or I would not have been comfortable staying there. The refrigerator in our suite actually had someone’s else’s takeout boxes with sauce all over the shelf.
Unfortunately, the since covid/pandemic, the workforce (everywhere) has not recovered.
The receptionist did a great job keeping a calm demeanor even though she had several guests waiting in line and calling the front desk.
Several patrons were not very friendly to her and she still kept a smile on her face. The residents I speak of, were not the usual business or one night stay type guests. It seemed like they were long term residents.
I was really disappointed bc the overall rating was so high, I actually passed on a place I stayed for 2 years to ensure the higher quality.
