White River - Crooked Creek Log House

Bring the whole family to this custom log home on a 14-acre slice of heaven in the Ozark Mountains on Arkansas’ famed blue ribbon smallmouth bass stream “Crooked Creek” Just (3) bends upstream from the confluence of the White River. Fish, swim, kayak, snorkel on our 1000’ of creek frontage. The kids and whole family will have a blast. The water level on the creek is constantly fluctuating dependent solely on the rainfall and spring water received upstream. Many times, I have docked my 20’ topwater boat below the house (spring). Others we have kayaked from the lower access off HWY 101 back to the house (late spring, early summer). And other times we just enjoy swimming and snorkeling around the natural springs that feed the creek and wade fish (late summer). Ranchette White River access is about (4) miles down the road, so bring your boat if you’d like to trout fish, or we can put you in touch of one of the many guides in the area that can pick you up right at the ramp according to the bite. House accommodations state 12, and that is utilizing (1) person on the pull out couch in the game room and (1) person on the log futon in the Master bedroom. please contact host if you have more, as we always try and accommodate. House is approx. 4000 sq ft with (3) levels. Large soaker tub/glass tile shower in the master bath, (6) person hot tub on the lower level. This log home is at the very end of the road and behind a locked gate, it is very secluded. Fishing is stated as “catch and release” as we are in a smallmouth bass trophy zone. Cell service is low (1-2 bars), but we now have Starlink WIFI, and it has been exceptional! We have been on face time, streaming 4K, email, social media, etc.! So, if you need to work remotely, you should have no problem, we even have a dedicated office area with additional HDMI dell monitor! Safety features of the home include (1) security camera overlooking the carport/driveway area and a Nest carbon monoxide/ smoke alarm in the kitchen. The property is stunning and the house is so cozy. It definitely is a quiet spot to getaway. The owners were very accommodating and reached out several times during the trip to make sure we were taken care of! The only thing we would have done differently is booked a longer stay!

Fantastic Place!

This is a beautiful house at a great spot on Crooked Creek. My family had a wonderful time exploring the creek, fishing, and hanging out at the house. The kitchen is well equipped and the host does a great job communicating and making sure you've got everything you need.

Cabin on the creek

This cabin and the A-Frame that is being constructed are on one of the best parts of this creek. We fished @ the cabin, from the cabin to the mouth of the White river and back up to the A-Frame. We caught and released at least 15 smallmouth in the 2-1/2 pound range. We also fished from the 101 bridge back to the cabin. The log cabin had plenty of room for 8 adults without feeling crowded at all.

This property was even more than what we hoped for. Everything was as described but better. The property itself is so beautiful that you relax as soon as you get there. The owner was great at communicating with us and he had everything we could ever need there for us. We can't wait to go back and just relax.

Great Property

We had eight fisherman stay at the property. It was secluded and very comfortable. Great space inside the house and outside on the deck. Owner was very helpful in providing guidance on fishing areas. Would stay there again!

An amazing stay

The home was amazing and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. It had the best beds and pillows of any rental that we have ever stayed at. Everyone was able to catch fish in the creek. I would recommend this place to any group. From breakfast for 10 to steaks on the grill to s'mores at night this place had us covered. The host was more then helpful

Great family location.

Beautiful cabin even better than the pictures. Everything you will need is provided. Very secluded location. Great for family get together. Easy check in and out process. We had no problems during our stay. Highly recommended.

Great Property for Large Family

Very comfortable real log house that is well designed, well maintained and well stocked. Beautiful rural setting in the woods on Crooked Creek. Hot tub is a plus. Our stay was in cool weather, and we enjoyed the wood stove/fireplace. Owner was easy to communicate with.

Amazing family fishing trip!

We absolutely loved the Crooked Creek Cabin. The host was very accommodating and responsive to questions/recommendations. The home was clean and had great amenities. The kids especially liked the pool table and checkers. The property is beautiful and close to multiple river access points for fishing. This was a very special trip for our family and we hope to come back soon!

Family Christmas

I can not express how delighted we were with our recent stay at the Crooked Creek Log House. The house was amazing. It was precisely as advertised, extremely well stocked, comfortable and inviting. The owners were an absolute delight to work with, they were quick to respond to any inquiries we had. The house, amenities, everything were well thought out, everything focused on the comfort of the guests. We would not hesitate in returning to this property again, and in fact, look forward to their new property they are opening at Crooked Creek! I highly recommend this property!

Perfect balance

We had ages 17-70. Perfect balance of playing games in the bottom level to watching football on the main floor. The master was upstairs quiet and away from everyone. The kitchen was well stocked. The river was right there. Beautiful property and a great host. We left jewelry and the host is promptly mailing To us! Highly recommend!!!

Beautiful Cabin On The Creek.

The cabin was great. Plenty of room for a big group with multiple thermostats which is nice. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils and cookware to do anything. Crooked Creek is an easy walk down the hill and there are definitely fish in there. There is also a White River boat ramp very close to the cabin, so no need to drive all the way around town to find a put-in. I highly recommend staying at this cabin.

Private secluded great for families

From the start of our trip planning, Jonathan the host was fantastic. He answered all our questions promptly and respectfully. The check in process and all provisions were top notch. The cabin is very private and remote- just what we were looking for. We loved the pool table, hot tub, and creek access. Kitchen was fully furnished as well as linens, towels and paper products. We accidentally left a couple items behind and he even contacted us quickly and helped reunite us with the things. We highly recommend this cabin for a get away. Thanks, Jonathan, for a wonderful stay.

Crooked Creek Cabin

The Crooked Creek Cabin was just as depicted in the VRBO listing. Everything was top notch and the cabin was decorated beautifully and furnished very comfortably. Plenty of space for our group of grandparents, parent, and 2 teens. We all really appreciated the pool table. The creek was a little low due to extreme heat and lack of rain but we still enjoyed some good fishing. The property is nice and isolated from neighbors and wonderfully wooded. Close to Buffalo River and White River for some good day trips. Great place to get away from it all. Would love to come back again and especially in Fall or Winter.

Perfect vacation rental

What a great getaway family gathering! All 9 of us enjoyed both the “cabin” and the surroundings. We were all comfortable in the great room, as well as our bedrooms. Plenty of room for everyone to gather or have some alone time indoors or out. The kitchen is more than well stocked with every cooking utensil you could ask for as well as dishes & glasses. There is a crazy amount of firewood for both the great room fireplace and the fire pit outside. There is a beautiful view of the creek from the main deck and there is a hot tub on the lower deck off the play room. This is the cleanest rental I have ever experienced. I wish I could borrow their housekeeper! To add to our experience, the host was so very accommodating. He even checked in on us several times to be sure we didn’t need anything. If there were more stars, I would rate this a 10.

Great Weekend Getaway for Family

Our family of 8 stayed for three nights in early August. This is a super nice property located on Crooked Creek. There are three floors and we had three family groups which worked perfectly. The check in is combination gate and door and almost everything you would ever need is supplied with the exception of perishable food. It is located on a remote County road the last 2.2 miles being gravel. About 20 minutes to the nearest Wal-Mart for groceries and gas in Flippin. The creek is accessible down a steep bank which does require some dexterity. But smallmouth bass and perch are found in the many pools of water in the creek. The appliances are modern and there is a great Starlink Wi-Fi system in the house which kept a strong signal. There is only one or zero bars of cell service though. We used Walkie-talkies from the house to the kids playing in the Creek which worked great. There is a covered garage for two cars which came in handy with the rain. Maybe the best thing is the prompt communication with the property manager who was quick to answer and make sure you are satisfied with every aspect of the Log House and answer any questions about fishing , swimming or nearby restaurants, etc. Everyone in our family said they would quickly return to the Log House again for a future trip. Though remotely located, it was perfect in supplying all our modern communication and electronic needs and the rooms were laid out great for an excellent family gathering.

Fantastic

Our group of 7 women loved this so much! We needed peace, and rest, and tranquility and thats exactly what we got! The view was amazing, the space of the cabin was excellent. It had everything we needed and then some.
