Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Trinidad could be no sweat at all or it could go on forever. We've rounded up some tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, important documents, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are good options. If you plan to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by layering up, and pick flat, enclosed footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
