Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy hints that will help get your Shibata escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:

• Airport security personnel first need to know that you have a valid ID and matching boarding pass before you're allowed to proceed any further. Have them within easy reach, ready for inspection.
