Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Quiddelbach holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a hassle-free flight experience is to plan ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, official ID, cash and vital medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like your laptop or a thrilling novel. You'll also want to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Last but not least, don't forget to chuck in toiletry items like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by dressing in layers, and wear flat, enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
