• Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.

• Your passport and boarding pass will need to be inspected by security personnel. Have them close by so you don't hold up the queue.
