Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will get your Cochabamba holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, important documents, credit cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
