I liked that it is pet friendly. There was an abnormal amount of noise that kept the dogs and me up most of the night.

Evening front desk manager was great. Late checkout needs weren’t communicated unfortunately leading to angry housekeeping. Room wasn’t very clean when we checked in. Room had all the basic necessities. The front wall doesn’t block any noise whatsoever, so any car starting, plane, someone talking, all sounds like it’s in the room with you.

I will never stay there again. There were multiple cigarette burns in the bedspread, and when I asked them to come change it, they brought other ones with cigarette burns in them. Outdated property they need to invest a little money.

Property needs improvements
We had to cancel our reservation due to a family matter and did not stay in the rooms so my review concerns the property itself. I feel this property is in desperate need of updating to represent the brand. Prices in Ashville are pretty high in this was to be a value stay for my family however, the condition of the property was not up to Super 8 standards in my opinion.

Room was very nice, but I was there for 4 days and by 3 days , the trash wasn’t emptied, the coffee wasn’t restocked and the room wasn’t cleaned. Breakfast was a paper bag with a granola bar, fruit cocktail and apple juice.

The parking area is not near the rooms, so it was very inconvenient. The shower curtain was moldy. The floors were dirty, and the walls were dirty. We didn’t see any bedbugs, however. For the amount of money we paid it was very disappointing although the people at the desk were very nice.

It was a pathetic stay. The room was dirty, had spider web and black moth on walls and bathroom lining. The bed sheet had stains and spots. Woke multiple times in the middle of the night feeling as if something is biting. Could not really see the bed bugs? though. It says breakfast included, but it is just granula bar and prepackaged juice. It was a one night stay in a 7 day trip and this stay is something that I regret in the overall trip. It would have been much better to pay a few dollars more and get a better hotel.

check-in was 3:00, I arrived about 3:40. Could not get first floor room but was given a 2nd floor room. Took 2 small overnight bags and cooler up the old, metal outdoor stairs -- fearing a fall. Room was clean. Took dog out for walk, he fell down the stairs but unfortunately was not hurt. I had to carry him on down and back up even though I have trouble with left leg and balance. While walking the dog, I discovered people living on back side of hotel after seeing clothes drying on bannisters. Front desk clerk walked by and I asked if rooms were rented for people to live in. He said they rent by week. I asked if it was a safe place, His reply was he had cameras everywhere. I picked my sister (recovering from cancer) up at airport. In addition to her not able to manage those stairs, and neither could I or my dog, we were uneasy in the location. Desk clerk, who was pleasant, upon my check-in had copied my driver's license and that has never happened before making me uneasy I sat in the room until time to go to airport but did not even turn down bed or use towel -- used one wash cloth to dry my hands after using toilet. I would love a refund. This hotel is apparently used by people needing a place for a week but not by women or families traveling. I would appreciate a refund.

The place itself was super clean! The beds were comfortable and the ac was absolutely cold!! It froze us out multiple times! The only problems was the huge space in the top of the door that bugs were crawling/flying in at times and the fact that the chain lock didn’t work at all. It wasn’t even screwed in. We only had a deadbolt which was safe but I would have liked that extra security.

First bedroom was not clean and reeked of smoke to the point it made my eyes water, no shower curtain or even rod for one... 2nd bedroom was even worse as there was trash all throughout the room, discolored sheets on the bed, dirty sink and shower that you could see multiple hairs from someone else...

This place needs to be just shut down. There was dirty laundry left under a pillow for a “fresh made” bed and some 4 foot spray on the wall of beer or soda in the first room. The second room literally smelled like the cleaning lady just smoked a cigarette in the room(at a non smoking property) the third room was the worst of all that reeked like urine and had a puddle of dried urine next to the toilet! Called heath department on this property as well as bbb and the corporate offices for Wyndham. Not to mention the rude desk lady.

Asheville Super 8
The room we stayed in needs attention. One of the large pictures above the bed was down and leaning against the wall. There was a coffee maker--but no pot. We had to ask twice for soap and shampoo. The peephole was poked out and a Kleenex was stuffed in it to block it. The breakfast was disappointing- granola bar, a cup of peaches and water bottle. We were suppose to have a king bed like the picture, but had two beds instead. The staff was friendly and understanding- guessing this was all out of their control.

Asked front desk to please fix tv twice (I called them and I went down in person) no one came to fix it. They said probably remote control needed to be set up since tv works when you turn it on manually but no manual buttons to change channels or control volume. I’m only here for the 8-9 of July but having a tv would have been nice.

Although the property exterior looks a little run down, the area is safe, quiet, and the room itself looked like it was recently remodeled, was clean, and had a very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wish i had done my research
Stairwell had garbage and food all over the stairs. Checked in through a hole in plexi glass. Overall just not a good vibe. Definately would not have stayed if traveling solo. Room was dirty, trash left from previous occupant, pet food and fur still on the floor.
