IT’S A SHED! Not a cabin.Don’t stay here! They don’t show how close a house is to the shed. It’s only about 25’ from the shed door. It shares a driveway with the house. It had a bee coming out from the ceiling light fixture, which means there is a hive in the attic area. I chose this place to have peace and quiet, solitude. There
is a family that lives in the house with kids and a dog ( screaming, crying, barking). I didn’t stay in the place one night. Owners reimbursed me, but the management company did not. Pictures are very deceptive and don’t give a true indication of what the place is like. I was very disappointed.
Interior fine. No light on the porch, picnic table on porch needs help. 3 horse shoes, fire pit cover trash, boards with nais sticking out in fire pit area. Loved the location, convenient to all attractions
The cabin was the perfect getaway clean and efficient, close to everything. Only question not sure why there wasn’t a cable box we couldn’t watch tv. Not that we needed it but FYI maybe need to find out what happened there.

Exactly what it says on the tin.
We loved it for the price, that's why we're giving it 5 stars. I think there are some opportunities to make it even better. Put some coffee, soap, and shampoo in there. I guess we're city slickers but we expected those things. I would have liked a larger bed as well.

Not good
No instructions on how to operate TV there was a smell Musk or mildew or possibly even mold. Lift property after 1 hour
If you are looking for a private getaway this is NOT the place!! The “cabin” is cute but it’s more like a tiny house/she-shed that’s literally at the end of someone’s driveway in a small neighborhood- not private or wooded at all as it says in the listing. The issue I had which caused us to not even stay there was that it’s literally less than 50 feet from the main house and another rental unit on the property so there is absolutely NO privacy at all!! I had specifically messaged the host ahead of time to ensure that the location is private because this was to be a quiet getaway for my husband and me and was told it was and that no one else would be there during our stay, only to arrive to find that it’s right next to the main house and there was a car parked 20 feet from our “cabin” with a whole family taking pictures and loading bikes up. If this was a weekend away with a friend or even if I had been told that it was in no way secluded it would have been fine, but this is not what I was expecting based on the listing and my communication with the host prior to driving 3 hours to get there…. When I contacted the host to express my disappointment in what was listed and “sold” to us vs. what we arrived to find she was dismissive and rude. We didn’t even check in at all and found another place to stay. This place was just wasted time and money and a HUGE disappointment. Many other nicer properties nearby- do not recommend this one.
Intimate get away for two requiring only a place to lay your head or read by the fire. Convenient location to the many falls, walking trails and Heidelberg Haus in town.
This cottage in the woods is perfect if you want to get away from the everyday. The cottage sits closely to a main house approximately 25 yards away. Th location is secluded and a little hard to find but a short walk from the main road.
The cottage has everything you need for a quite stay in the woods. Bed is comfortable, shower is hot, small fridge, microwave and flat screen tv (didnt turn it on). Large Porch is the highlight and has a large picnic table that overlooks the woods in the back.

Great location, needs upgrades
A cute two room cabin. Needs upgrades to the coffee maker. Only one coffee cup. And bedding needs upgrade. Needs a deep cleaning. Bathroom was nice. Internet not the best for remote work. Verizon was at 5G. Strange large crucifix cross on the wall.
We enjoyed every minute at the cabin. The space was perfect for two people. It was relaxing and rejuvenating. Close to attractions. The only thing that was an adjustment was it has a double bed. Perfect for an average couple, we are larger people so the bed was snug. Not a reason to not go back again and again. It was nice to unplug.
Lady bugs where in the cabin.Alot of them.the inner shower curtain need to be changed. But I came there to relax and have fun and I did.It was my first time being in a cabin.

Anniversary Weekend
TV had no connection. We were told we needed to bring our own Roku. Went weren’t told this in advance. The ac was set on low and there was no way to increase it to medium or high. It would blow for a few minutes and then cut off, so it was stuffy most of the time! The bed was full size and not a queen. There were knats flying around my face while I was trying to read, and ants in the bathroom. Outside, the yard hadn’t been trimmed with a weed eater around the cottage, and the porch had to be swept where the picnic table was because it was filthy! I would never recommend this place to anyone!
This rustic bungalo is cute, located near major highways (but in a relatively quiet woodsy setting) and in an area that boasts lots of outdoor activities. The two porch chairs offer a place to sit an relax, although the view is of a nearby house. Overall, a nice place for a weekend retreat.

It was very nice...could have used an on site grill for cooking ...TV...unusable and needed a few supplies
Absolutely perfect. Just what I was expecting and needing. This quiet lil cabin on the backside of a hill is away from traffic, but close to essentials. Small creek out back in the valley leaves a perfect ambiance at night, with a fire pit to top it. I was happy.
We had a wonderful weekend stay in Flat Rock. We weren’t aware this cabin is very close to what appears to be the owners residence. We weren’t bothered and everything was clean and nice, just weren’t aware we were so close! It was almost awkward going in and out while the house owners were outside...
I really enjoyed my stay at Fred’s Bungalow! The price was great for the cabin itself and the location. There are shops nearby about 10-15 minutes away. It was quiet and near the woods. There was a fireplace and a tv. I would definitely come back again for another weekend getaway!
