A very well organised and very busy tourist town. If you don’t like crowds then beware but the scenery is worth it. The tourist centre is excellent for booking all trips. A great place to spend an afternoon and morning.






Lovely hotel - clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were both good, with lots of options.

The Heimly staff was friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Our room had gorgeous views of the fjords. We were upgraded to one of the apartments which was great as much bigger than we had booked however sofa bed wasn’t made up, we were missing towels and tv didn’t work. There is a lot of work going on around the village currently with the pub renovations and pier renovations.

Undeniably a gorgeous location! Communication was a problem but only at 1st. The Expedia message did not work. You have to use WhatsApp to contact them about the door code. Of our 2 weeks in Norway, this was our least favorite stay. The beds were tucked away upon arrival, so we had to set up and put bedding on beds.
