"My wife and I were excited to stay on the beach at Hilton Head and planned our vacation around this hotel. For the money spent, they did not read my notes requesting certain information. We found mold in the ice cubes from the machine on the floor. Rooms had a combo smell of bleach and mold as well. Shower was extra slippery with not mat to alleviate that. Room a/c was loud and did not hold the temperature set! In other words, an ice box. Morning breakfast buffet was sub par. Food was bland or cold. The Westin is one of Marriott’s high end properties. Not so on Hilton Head Island. Extremely disappointed with my choice to stay there. Choose another hotel and avoid these pitfalls."

"For years we come to the same place twice a year. We will continue to do so. You can’t put the price on the location and the view of the ocean. It’s the best part of the island in our opinion - no traffic, all stirs are close, airport, even hospital within 3-5 min drive. Highly recommend!"
