"The property has a lakefront across the road. It has an enclosed structure with a table and chairs. There are several other chairs outside. Our room was comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the adjacent property and a small portion of the lakefront. The bathroom was small with shelves right over the commode tank. Breakfast was just okay. They had apples, hard boiled eggs, several breads, poor choice of yogurt, coffee, etc. Staff was friendly. They also have some Door County wines available in the evening from five to seven. The gym had just a few scanty weights. One of the tread mills had a damaged belt. Good location in the village of Ephraim."

"Owner was wonderful and very helpful. Some of the information on the VRBO site was lacking, such as how to gain access to the property and what the obligations were of the visitor such as provide your own soap and towels (maybe I just missed it or it was not very obvious). Unit was very clean and well appointed except for the lack of closet space (there was none), but some hangers in the bath would have been helpful. Overall it was a good experience and now that I know the parameters, I would rent it again."

"Really special 1950s resort, cleaned and improved for 21st century. Wonderful couple serves fresh coffee all day and the occasional slice of Kringle from the office window. There is a clean pool, a nice relaxing outdoor space behind the rooms, lovely gardens (shaggy and flowerful, just the way I like them). The couple keeps everything in good repair, recent paint, easy parking, nifty updated tile bathrooms with '50s tile patterns that were straight out of Better Homes and Gardens, circa 1957, updated with modern plumbing, fair prices for Door County, and across street from Peninsula State Park (with 18 hole and par three golf courses), and just south of the Village of Ephraim, one of Door County's gems. Scenic, quiet, and a step back to an easier pace of life. We had a great weekend, as will you and your family!"
