Pur fanily enjoyed a short trip to fisg creek. The silo location is really ideal, at the entrance to peninsula park and a short walk to the center of Fish Creek.
The silo was clean well laid out. It made for a really fun stay. Great location adjacent to the state park, bike rentals, and all of Fish Creek’s offerings.
We really enjoyed our stay at the silo! Quirky and fun perfect location. Enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the deck and watched an evening storm roll in upstairs in the surround windows. Right next to peninsula state park.
4 adults in our group, bring a hairdryer, kitchen has some basics to cook with (salt, pepper, oils, coffee filters), beds comfortable. We would go back.
This is a fun, unique venue for a short visit. We were booked for a week but left early due to my allergies and inability to sleep. One window unit on the 4th floor only cooled the 4th floor. High temps and humidity made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere. The dehumidifier ran constantly and we emptied it at least 3 times a day. Musty odors killed my allergies and asthma. I would recommend a cooler temp visit as the location is right at the entrance of Peninsula Park for biking or hiking and easy walking to dining and shops. This location had lovely bedding and art but the carpeting, window treatments and paint could use a little attention.
Absolutely loved this property. Great communication with the property manager. The cleanest property I stayed at. Truly enjoyed the unique silo (we called it the princess tower). Highly recommend.
Great location near the State Park. Easy to find. Well stocked kitchen. No big mixing bowls. Beds comfortable but pillows and quilts dusty. Couch on top floor needs to be cleaned, caused allergy like pet dander although pets are not permitted. If light switches were labeled that would be very helpful. Perfect space for a family of three or four.
Cute place. Can use some updating. Paint needs updating. A couple of spots on the walls you can clearly see the patched holes and they didn’t paint the rest of the wall. Used toothbrush head was on bathroom floor. Also found fortune cookie fortune on the floor. Other than that stuff the place was cool! Excellent location to Peninsula State Park.
We definitely made some great memories here. It's a truly unique and remarkable building, and my kids will always remember staying in "the silo."That said, for the cost, I was surprised by how dated some of the furnishings were - particularly the mattresses and carpeting. Replacing these would really elevate the experience and bring the amenities more in line with what guests might expect at this price point. The bed frames and mattresses felt more like items that had been stored away for decades or picked up at a garage sale. The top floor offers an incredible view, and I was really hoping to use that space as the master bedroom. Unfortunately, the pull-out couch mattress was in such poor condition that it wasn’t a viable option for adults to sleep on.There’s also a noticeable odor on the first floor, which I believe is coming from a hole in the closet floor. Sealing that up would likely go a long way in addressing the corn silage-like smell.
