GREAT location across from YMCA. Can accommodate LARGE groups
This newly built home in 2017 with a Rustic Minimalist Design is ideal for large groups and has an open air feel. It is conveniently located less than a mile from the main street in Fish Creek (across from the YMCA). It has a wooded backyard where you and your guests can have a campfire and have a cookout. There are 4 bedrooms with King beds on the main level as well as 2 bathrooms. The kitchen has a huge Rustic Island with seating for 11 as well as a Separate Dining area for 8. On the second level, there is a large bedroom with a King size bed as well as a connecting area with a bathroom and bunkbeds (perfect for a family of 4). The second level floors are plank style (wood) which adds to the character of this home, but creates an atmosphere that is not sound proof. Also on the second level is another King Bedroom, a bathroom, and an additional bedroom with two twin beds. There are two spacious living areas in this home as well as a sitting room/coffee area. All linens are provided for guests as well as bathroom towels. The home has all the amenities you need: Large refrigerator, an extra refrigerator, beverage cooler, microwave, coffee maker, Keurig, washer and dryer, dishwasher and more! Please note that this home has a two bedroom unit next to it. There is also a large home and an additional two bedroom unit in the backyard (shared driveway with this house). In no way will those units affect your stay, however some guests like to know. The home is not as private as it was prior to 2023.
Note: Parking Information: This is a residential property with a shared driveway and no marked or designated parking spots. Up to six guest vehicles are allowed, and double parking will be required to accommodate them. Please coordinate within your group to ensure smooth access in and out. The property also includes an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), which is a separately rented unit. Parking for ADU guests is located on the far left side of the driveway, and that area must remain clear for their use at all times. Please note: The garage is not available for guest use and you can park in front of the garage stalls. Additional parking available downtown Fish Creek, behind the Post Office. *Absolutely No Pets.
*We kindly ask that you refrain from requesting early check-in or late check-out, as our cleaning crew needs the full amount of time to properly prepare a home of this size for the next guests.
*We do supply items such as paper towel, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, etc. However, we only provide enough to get you started.
*We do host a lot of Bachelorette parties and get asked often about decorating the home. You’re welcome to do some light decorating during your stay—just keep it simple and please avoid using tape, pins, or anything that could damage the walls. We also ask that everything is tidied up before departure.

We came for a girls golf trip and everyone loved the house. The house was very clean, all the beds were very comfortable, and the house was beautifully decorated. Great location-would highly recommend this house!!
Overall the space was great for our group. Very close to downtown fish creek, walking distance to a cute bakery/coffee shop. The floor boards are see through between each boards so you can see up or down to the rooms/bathrooms directly above or below you, which was off but overall we still enjoyed our stay and would rent again.
We had a large group and had lots of space to spread out or hang out. Lots of bathrooms. We were close to shopping, trolley and very nice restaurants (Alexander’s was amazing). Door county never disappoints!
Our multi- family group was very comfortable for a week.
Home is comfy and well appointed / modern!
Plenty of space in and out!
My only concern would be the design is very open and thus we could hear each other very easily.
Overall great property.
The property was very spacious and a great spot to accommodate our group.
As noted in the listing, noise does travel throughout the house, we found the lower bedrooms to be louder than the upstairs.
Overall, it was a great spot and we would book again.
This spot was great for a large family (though, noise carries so beware!). We had so much space and didn't feel like we were piled on top of each other! The space itself was beautiful and clean and a perfect spot to lounge. The location is right near the entrance of Peninsula State Park and within a 25 minute drive of other areas like Whitefish Dunes and Cave Point. Communication with the host was easy and we resolved a broken coffee maker within one hour! Amazing. Would definitely book again.
This was a great spot for our large group of varying ages! We were in town for the run and this house is super close to peninsula state park and near the shuttle services into and out of the park.
There are two fridges which was great for all the food we brought in, and lots of space to dine and lots of cooking utensils for us to make dinner.
Yes, the layout is different and sound does carry - we found all the kids were fine with their sound machines - I’d maybe recommend portable curtains if your kids (like mine) normally sleep in a very dark room - we brought ours and all our kids slept pretty well!
My family of 20 (ages 72 down to 5) enjoyed six days at this property. The beds were all comfy (SIX king beds!) and the kitchen is nice and spacious. LOVED the gigantic island with seating. Two fridges were so handy with this big group. Two living areas was helpful as well. The kids built a killer fort in the woods. Outdoor space is fantastic. Nice and quiet spot for a large group. The only downside is that the upstairs floors are slatted wood with no insulation whatsoever. You can see through the upstairs floors down into ALL the rooms below. We brought box fans to help cut down on the noise for those who went to bed earlier and woke up earlier. All in all, solid place to stay. I would stay here again.
While we did enjoy our stay at this property, there were things we wished we had known before we stayed. My review is intended to inform and is not necessarily criticism. We purchased $250 in steaks with the intent of grilling out as a family our first night. When we took off the cover we discovered a ‘Griddle’ not a grill as described. Imagine our disappointment, we might as well have used a pan on the stovetop. Although the fire pit was nice and large, it’s positioned next to the other rental properties which offered no privacy. Inside was an open concept alright, open to the point of seeing directly down from upper floorboards into all spaces below, including bedrooms and bathroom. We expected noise as other reviewers had mentioned but did not know lights would keep other guests awake due to shining up and down through floorboards - zero insulation. We were actually surprised it met building codes. Furnishings were very nice and comfortable as were beds and pillows. Well supplied bathrooms and kitchen. Dishwasher is awkwardly placed far from sink making you drip water across floor to load, but not a dealbreaker. Large kitchen island was a big hit! Perfect for jigsaw puzzles. Parking was interesting to say the least. Two cars were parked directly in front of our door so we were confused if we had the correct unit. Luckily the woman renting beside us came out and claimed them and told just to park wherever we could. Not enough room for 6 cars (plus her 2) for sure.

Disappointment
The positive is the house layout. The adults stayed in the 4 bedrooms on the main floor. The kids were upstairs in 4 bedrooms.
The issues: there was no warning by the owners to tell us that there would be construction going on right behind and to the side of the house we stayed at (they are building two more houses). Workers showed up at 7:30am and left 6:30pm. The noise level would be loud: banging and sawing. Plus they would start a fire to burn the excess debris. If you wanted to sit outside to relax & enjoy the peace and quiet we were expecting, it couldn't happen.
The main room of the house has a wall of 4 sliding doors and windows with no window coverings & no privacy. Workers could look into the house at all times. The VRBO website description states: "a very private wooded backyard". Nope.
Even though in the house description we were warned about the upstairs floors "they add character of the home that is not soundproof," be prepared as the noise travels up and down the two home levels.
The description also says that the home "has all the amenities you need". In the kitchen, there were only 5 dinner forks, 6 salad forks, 3 teaspoons for up to 20 guests. You may need to bring more, along with paper towels. There was no fireplace as in the VRBO listing.
When we wanted use the fire pit, there was no lighter/matches. We were told we could go buy one, really?
The owners should come in and check over everything & needed supplies. Crumbs still fall in cracks.
The space is perfect for family. Although when I first booked, I thought it was right across from the park, the location is really good to get to everything in Dohr county. We had our own private fire pit and the house that runs behind us had visitors, but we felt like we had our privacy. The design of the floor does cause noise to carry throughout the spaces, but it was joyful noise, chaotic, joyful, children noise.
We had a girls weekend at this property and it was absolutely perfect for our group! The layout of the house was great for a large group- we could tell the details were well thought out. The location was also great and we enjoyed restaurants and the Door County Wine Trolley (they picked us up at the house). Definitely recommend this property.
House was exactly as pictured. It was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Would definitely recommend for a larger group. Plenty of beds and space to hang out. Overall a wonderful place to stay!

Family Wedding
This house was perfect for our large extended family to stay in! The flooring on the upper levels is just 2x6 that have cracks between them so privacy wasn’t the best but worked for a short stay.

We have stayed in much better and less noisy places before.
We did lije being so close to town
Perfect place if you have a large group. We had plenty of enough places for people to sleep. We really enjoyed the large living room, island and three fridges. In walking distance from good parts of town
